The Bahia Principe Grand Coba is a family-friendly All Inclusive resort located in the Bahia hotel complex. The resort is located in the heart of the Riviera Maya and features two large lake-shaped pools, a children's water park, a 36-hole golf course, as well as a beautiful beach location. It is a perfect spot for a memorable family vacation by the Caribbean Sea.

Disappointed Hotel Stay that has really put me off coming back to Mexico. I may visit again but not this chain!

So, the rooms are so outdated, I've had geckos, beetles, all crawling out of the crevices in the wall, wardrobes, light fittings. This is NOT a 5 star or close to a 4 star imo. The TV channels are good tho, ?? Could do with some shaded areas, the only shade is in the stuffy lobby with music blaring out so no quiet areas to sit and read unless by the pool! The restaurants are lovely, food is good and staff attentive, Bar could do with more staff especially over Mexican Independent day celebrations when it was absolutely carnage in here. Another gripe is that this is treated as the lowest out of the group, unless you pay stupid amounts to upgrade! It's all take, take take! Other guests we spoke with all felt the same, so disappointed and will certainly avoid this hotel chain in the future

I really enjoyed our stay. The whole hotel was clean. Good variety on the buffet (though air- con would had been appreciated). Drinks service good. Pool areas lovely. No scrapping for sunbeds. Easy 10 min walk to the beach, or use the buggy buses that are regular. Our room had good air conditioning and was a good size. Tips for if you are going to book: -Download the app and get your a-la-cartes booked before you go. -Pack beach shoes (hot floor/sand, sea is a bit rocky and if you're visiting a cenote you'll as appreciate them) -In Mexico, use higher factor sun lotion than you usually would and if you burn sometimes anyway, take a long sleeved swimming top. -If going for two weeks upgrade at least the second week to the wristbands that let you use the facilities in all 4 hotels (if you don't have kids, I highly recommend breakfast, pool and lunch at the adults-only hotel and afternoons at the beach with the bands gives you a much wider choice of where to relax and you don't have to go back to the hotel to get a snack), it's only about £12 a day. -Book the Origan show and the Mexican Fiesta evening. Glad we did them both.
