Great location and quality service

The hotel has a great location, and the view from the gym on the 35th floor, and the viewing deck on the 36th floor are amazing. The Prime Rib Bolognese at the restaurant was very good, and the bartender ...made a great Uncle Nearest Old Fashioned.
improved and updated property

The grand Hyatt San Francisco Union Square : I got upgraded to a business/executive suite. They have remodeled where there are nice laminate floors and electric blinds, two full bathrooms, great pillows, ...wonderful high floor view, fabulous sheets, and excellently comfortable bed. When I stayed, the club lounge was closed, and so they have breakfast down at the buffet on the mezzanine level. Their options are basic, but the service was excellent and the coffee was really delicious.
Convenient city location near lux stores

Great location, close to lux stores on Grant Ave. Parking station close by and the valet propose you self park there. Good. Expected to be offered water bottles at check-in, but had to ask. Hotel room was ...clean although bathtub seemed to be ‘spongy’ under foot in some areas (as if the laminate was separating). Maybe the quality led to early age issues. Overall, still pretty good.
Hotel Is On Route to Bankruptcy

No room service. No minibar with water or anything. Restaurant is only open a few hours a day. Most restaurants around the hotel are closed. Safety in the area is also questionable; for example, there ...is a Starbucks across the street that has no tables or chairs because of homelessness issues. Staff tried hard, but the hotel is 2 stars at best.
