Active Advisories
The Bay Gardens Beach resort will be undergoing a substantial expansion project set to begin mid-December 2023. This project is expected to last approximately 18 months.
While some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize guest impact during this time. Main construction will occur between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
To ensure guests safety, the construction site will be hoarded off however this may be visible from the garden view room block.
Please note the following enhancements and interim arrangements:
1. Modern Accommodations: The expansion includes 9 new modern 3-bedroom villas.
2. Dining Experience: While the new restaurant is being built, the Sea Grapes Restaurant will be temporarily relocated to a new location behind the 700 room block.
3. Reinvigorated Spa: While the new spa is being built, the current spa will be temporarily relocated to a serene setting upstairs from the lobby.
The services, including dining, spa treatments, and recreational activities, will continue to be available without interruption.

The bay is beautiful and so is the water. Calm, clear waters are a plus and you can see all the way down to your feet. People are wonderful and extremely friendly. Pool is heated. Sadly, those are the only... positive things I can say. Our first day, I found 11 Larva in the kleenex box and a Lizard in our bathroom. My husband spent half an hour trying to catch the lizard with the trash can. Our TV speaker is busted and sound is horrible. Shower water leaks ALL OVER THE ENTIRE BATHROOM because there is no rim to the shower. Must lay towels around. Major slip hazard. One restaurant, not two as advertised. Same food over and over again every lunch and dinner with minimal change. Zero variety. There are three Bay Gardens sister hotels here and the beach resort is the nicest of the three, however, anyone staying at the other two horrible hotels have full access to the beach resort, the limited beach chairs, the ONE drink bar, and the ONE restaurant. All inclusive rate is NOT worth it. No snacks. One bar. No plastic water bottles. You get one small glass bottle and have to go find a refilling station in the lobby to get more. Our room was a standard room with no kitchen. Not enough restaurant seating. Limited pool chairs, I counted 26. Pool is murky. Old rooms and very worn and outdated. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Wood frames rotting from water. Door knob jammed. Walls are paper thin between rooms you can hear every peep from the people next door. Main light is burned out and fan doesn’t turn on. Called in the morning to have room cleaned, and confirmed. Came back in the evening and room was not touched. Towels feel like sandpaper. Food is not good, mainly Caribbean food only with tons of curry and turmeric spices. 40 minutes to get a burger. Pizza is drenched in grease and soggy. Other restaurants at sister resorts are much worse! Tiny beach with hundreds of people. Not enough beach chairs or umbrellas. Also, every building along this beach is abandoned and broken down except for our hotel and the restaurant next door. I travel a lot and would rate this property a 2-star, but because the people are so nice I’ll give it a 3-star. Not sure how it has such high google ratings. I have been to dozens of 3.5-star resorts which were WAY nicer. Regardless, nothing can ruin the beach for me, but there are definitely many other options and much better locations and beaches in St. Lucia.
