Fantastic family holiday

We had a great time at Bay Gardens Beach Resort. On arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and informed we had been given a free upgrade to a beach room from a garden view room. The room was great ...with easy access to the beach but we had to change rooms the next day as there was a really strong smell of smoking coming into the room throughout the day. The second room we were moved to was much better but we did have an issue with ants in the room so the hotel had to spray it. Although we did have some problems during our stay, the reception staff were very helpful in getting that resolved for us. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The only issue was on days when cruiseship passengers were in as it was so busy and some of the dishes ran out. One lunchtime we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for the food to be replenished due to this. The beach is also very busy with a lot of sun loungers taken when the cruise passengers are visiting. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the beach, inflatables splash park and the pool. We also made use of the watersports by going out on the paddle board, kayak and peddle boat. The inclusive spa treatments were lovely too. Special mention to the lovely staff who really looked after us: Candi, Elsa, Curliss and Yannik in the restaurant as well as Nadia at the spa.

We returned to this wonderful resort in February, we always start our holiday by celebrating St Lucia's Independence Day with our local friends. We had another amazing stay. We were so happy that we had b...een allocated the same room we had stayed in last Christmas, #904. This room is in a absolutely perfect location for us as we have mobility challenges. The room itself is lovely, a large bedroom with 2 double beds, coffee maker, fridge, great A/C, ceiling fan and lovely floor mats at the end of the beds to step on. We also had bathrobes and slippers which was a lovely touch. The bathroom had a great shower with plenty of water pressure. Our housekeeper Heather did a wonderful job of servicing the room and removing the sand that we seemed to take in with us daily. Heather always supplied fresh towels etc that were required. Heather also brought in and left in our room fresh mangoes for us, such a kind thought as we love mangoes. The meals in Hi Tide restaurant were always delicious and well presented. There was always a good choice on the menu and we always enjoyed our meals. We always made a daily visit to the little coffee shop located near the main reception for a cappuccino and maybe a cookie or cake. The beach is beautiful with great helpful security staff to assist with sunloungers etc. We swam everyday in the beautiful calm sea. We would like to thank everyone who works at Bay Gardens Beach Resort for a wonderful stay. Our special thanks to Billy, housekeeping supervisor, who on our arrival had decorated our room with flowers and special gifts. Margaret who ensured each day that we had sunloungers. Francisca who supported Katie in making a tie die t shirt which Katie is very proud to wear. I'm sure that there are many other people who I have missed out but we arrived home on the 19th March and because I wrote a review after our Christmas stay I had to wait 3 months before writing another
