Omg, I have to say, this is my 3rd trip to Cuba, but first one in many many years, I’m a seasoned traveller and i tend to frequent the DR which I love, but also love Jamaica, Mexico, however, going back to... Cuba after all this time, Has put the taste of Cuba on my pallet AGAIN, this WILL become our ‘ANNUAL GIRLS TRIP’ that’s guarantee The Blau was simply AMAZING IN EVERY ASPECT, I will go through it! The hotel is very nice, not too big, not too small, their live wall of I believe some type of ivy is absolutely stunning…I’m obsessed ?? Going to Cuba you have to expect the food NOT BEING standard as theyre imports are limited, with that being said and understood, you won’t starve..my recommendation would be to bring foods n non perishable food items that can fill you up in between n you’ll be fine ?? The rooms are a bit outdated but clean, comfy If you get the select upgrade you will have a room that overlooks the ocean The beach was absolutely gorgeous, we were there from March 28-April 5 2025, the winds were special for most this week, but only once we couldn’t swim in the ocean The pool was awesome, and even better NO swim up bar so people HAVE to get out to use the bathroom (lol) I normally refuse to swim in pools that have swim ups for obvious reasons. The lobby bar by far was my favorite., lots of entertainment, decent drinks, both Armando, Orestos were amazing The bar by the ocean which turns into a ‘disco’ at night is the plan to hang out, David was the bartender there awesome guy Overall, also HUGE shout out to Larenzos from the animation team he deserves every bit of acknowledgment, he is truly amazing and a hell of a dancer, they could use more employees like him I would rate the Blau a 5 ?? for Cuba Definitely ?? be heading back there asap If you’re able please bring gifts of necessity items, clothes, medical supplies, toiletries, shoes sandals for the locals, you can find them on the beach or the cleaning crew at hotel, also bring tip money they work extremely hard and deserve acknowledgment I feel like Cuba has stolen my heart again and this will become my second home….. may I suggest a Loyalty program for repeat guests, to have discounts or upgrades as I plan on returning over and over and over again ?? All the way to our taxi back to the airport, unfortunately we never got his name but he was truly informative and awesome in his personality, If anyone can help, though he was the driver, he did mention his father owned the taxi service…. This was a girls trip, and we all had 5hr best time ever… can’t wait to return
Disappointing Cuba

We stayed 2 days in Havana which was lovely but very poor beggars everywhere couldn’t walk 10m without being asked for money Arrived at hotel staff very welcoming went to our room which is very tired cou...ld do with decorating , bathroom needs updating. WiFi is poor keeps disconnecting Food at main restaurant is poor 24hr beach bar is not 24hr Only serve drinks in small plastic cups , including water unless in main bar ,but will sell plastic cups in shop for 20 Euro,s . On a positive note couldn’t fault the staff. Could stay in 5 star hotel in the Maldives for less.
