Phenomenal Resort!!!

5?????????? We travelled to the Blau Varadero last spring in April and were extremely impressed with the Resort. We have travelled at least 10 times to various resorts and areas of Cuba and this one stood ...out as the very best experience we had. So much so that we returned again this Spring from April 8-15. This resort is absolutely amazing. The rooms, the grounds, the food, the people. We had made friends at the resort the previous year and reached out to them before traveling there. Sarah at the A la Carte was amazing. She was able to book all of our reservations for the restaurants prior to our arrival allowing us to get the times we requested in advance. We booked the “Select” room and had requested an Ocean View Room. We contacted the reservation desks via email to confirm our request and they didn’t disappoint. Sarah had her hand in the arrangement’s and we were upgraded to the Suite on our second night. What a fantastic room. The ease of checking in and checking out was smooth as silk. The entertainment at the resort is second to none. There’s something for everyone regardless of age and ability (we’re the 60 age group). The food was great. No shortages of anything. Drinks were great, the Beach Grill/bar makes fantastic sandwiches and is close to the pool and beach plus is open 24 hours!!! This resort is an adults only which really appealed to us. Yarianna at the lounge is quick to keep your glass full and is the best waitress (in my humble opinion). The piano bar is a perfect place to relax and enjoy some of the best music you’ll hear anywhere. Friday evening Maylen serenade’s the people with the most amazing Alto Saxophone playing you’ll ever hear. Not to be missed!!!! We did hang out at the Chill Out bar a couple of times..they have a great selection of spirits there! So, if you’re looking for a fun-filled, sun-filled place to relax and hang with some fantastic people at an amazing resort. This is the spot. Can’t wait to return next year. ??????
Just a ok vacation nothing special

When I first arrived I was very happy, hotel was clean. The check in was very quick. We had select so we were given a glass of champagne and then escorted to our room. It was late at night and the only p...lace to eat was the beach bar with only sandwiches. After all day travelling on a flight that was a nightmare. Over the next 7 days I found the hotel staff not very helpful or friendly., except The girls at the coffee bar and Ernesto was the best. Our maid was extremely nice, a couple at the supper buffet and the bar tender at the beach. So that was 8 in total. The food was ok, I survived and I am a very picky eater. My husband loved the food. For drinks, they were all very sweet, got sickly after a few. Nothing fun or exciting to try. When I asked for a couple of options they had I was snapped at no we don’t have that. I would not return to this hotel because of the drinks and staff.
