Arriving at the hotel is a lovely experience with the staff singing a welcome song. Refreshment drinks and warm towels. It’s only a 5 min transfer time from the hotel which is great. Check-in was easy and swift. Reception staff are amazing, upbeat and helpful. Our room was in the lagoon area which is nice and quiet although literally backs on to the airport runway but the noise from the planes wasn’t super noticeable. The room/bathroom is a little dated with permanent ring marks on counter tops, when showering you get a drain smell. The cleaning and turn down staff are amazing with a consistent standard. There are a lot of chairs at the pools and beach so no issues getting one at any time. There is absolutely no reason for people to be getting up early to “reserve” their spot. Lots of towels available all day. The pool bar is loud and has a party feel to it, the beach area is quiet and more relaxed. Food options were abundant and we didn’t have a bad meal. Le Jardin and sushi were our favourite. Le Jardin does have an a la carte style breakfast which is lovely but slow, on that note what’s the rush you’re on vacation so enjoy. Now service in the restaurants we found odd and inconsistent. Either the staff are absolutely amazing and out of this world or they’re surly and don’t want to do their jobs. This is only seemed to apply to the female staff which I hate to say. We had 2 meals where my husband never received his requested drink, it wasn’t an unusual drink it was red wine to go with his steak in the Chop House so he had no beverage with his meal other than water and a cocktail of the day at Spices. I will say we had such bad service for lunch in Spices (again getting a drink, eye roll after requesting a drink) to the point we didn’t want to eat there again but we did try it again and it was much better the next time.. The ladies in Cucina on breakfast were all amazing. I think it’s Ruby/Rudy he is fabulous, he was in Le Jardin for an evening meal & Spices at lunchtime. The best evening entertainment was the fire show and silent disco on the beach. The English pub is worth a visit for a more relaxed quieter evening. Overall we think it’s a nice hotel but for the price I think maybe we were underwhelmed.
Friendly and helpful staff and carefree holiday

Very helpful and friendly staff made us relaxed and all we wanted were provided. The choice of restaurants was very good and each had its character. I particularly liked Cucina Romana and Le Jardinier. The tennis sessions were included. The tennis coarch was patient and diligent. I could get a very good exercise and learned to play in a different court and conditions, despite the sun, blazing down on me. Thank you, Leonard. The DJ (usually in the South Sea side of the resort) played nice dance music including legge. I would have liked more opportunities to dance along, rather than just listen.
Great Sandals in a great country!

Fantastic place. It was kept spotless. The beach was amazing, with spectacular mountain views to the North. The staff was incredibly friendly, as were the Grenadians as a whole. We would like to give shout-outs to 2 of their staff: Antonio, who always went the extra mile with our requests and Candace (aka, Candy Cane), who was the most engaging bartender we ever met! The food in the restaurants was consistently great. The bars were awesome. Stag Beer (locally brewed) is excellent. Our only suggestion is to have better tequila in the bars. The stuff served was very low end, in sharp contrast to any other type of liquor. We loved the 2 rainforest tours we took. Our Sandals-based Jeep Tour to the lake and Annandale Falls with our amazing guide “Too Sweet” is highly recommended. Overall, it was a great time! Highly recommended!!
Mediocre Experience

We returned from our vacation in Grenada a few weeks ago. Overall, our stay was good but it wasn’t this magical vacation that we expected. This was our first stay at a Sandals property and likely our last. We arrived around 2:30 and our room wasn’t ready until almost 5 on our first day, with us consistently begging the staff for an update as to when the room would be ready. When we did get to the room, it was beautiful and a great location. The food was mediocre at best, with limited options at every meal. The buffet at Spices was especially bad in our opinion for breakfast and lunch- we found the Italian buffet had more options at breakfast and flies were not around the food. For breakfast, I was hoping they would have much more variety, omelette stations, etc. We enjoyed pizza for lunch each day. We liked Butch’s and Italian the best for dinner, but felt 2 hours+ for each meal was an excessive wait time. The service was incredibly slow and lacked for us at most restaurants- every time we entered, we had multiple people walk by us with no acknowledgement before we would be sat, sometimes for as long at 5-10 minutes. It was rather awkward at times and we weren’t sure to flag someone down or just keep standing at the front door. When seated for service, everything was done in one visit- drinks, and food order. Refills seemed hard to come by. We weren’t sure if the staff weren’t motivated to provide food service because we weren’t able to tip, but both agreed this was the worst service we’ve ever had at a resort. We thought the resort and amenities were beautiful, and our housekeeping did a great job on our room each day. I think if you truly want to be “taken care of,” you need to spend for the butler room. We’ve been to several other all inclusive resorts and were very surprised at the standards. We never had an issue securing a spot at the pool or beach at any time of day, but had to grab towels very early as they would be out by 12pm. Special note that the app worked very intermittently for us while we were there which was a bit frustrating at times. Finally, when our flight was delayed, the communication about the shuttle was a bit confusing and we ended up at the airport 4 hours early. We’re glad we visited Grenada and tried a Sandals property for our honeymoon, but seems we were oversold and felt for the price we paid, this vacation was not worth it.
