Big thank you to all the staff at Secrets Huatulco! Special mention to Alejandro, awesome tennis lesson and water aerobics! Amir and Ximena were also a great addition to the entertainment team. The hostes...s at the buffet were awesome and always remembered us!

I gave this place a 2 out of 5, and honestly, that's being generous. The brutalist architecture of the resort is cold, ugly, and completely clashes with the natural beauty of the area. It’s a depressing ey...esore that looks ripped straight out of a dystopian nightmare like The Handmaid’s Tale. While the staff was very warm and friendly, it couldn’t make up for the dead, lifeless atmosphere. The resort was eerily quiet, with barely any signs of life. Evening "entertainment" was a joke — small, awkward shows that hardly anyone seemed to enjoy, despite the entertainers doing their best. By 11:00 pm, it was mandatory "lights out," and by 11:30, the place was so dead it felt abandoned. The room was definitely dated, though it was still functional. One strange and uncomfortable design flaw was that when you entered, you walked straight into the bathroom area The pool area might be large, but it’s in terrible shape. Broken tiles everywhere make it almost dangerous, and the lack of loungers meant you were basically out of luck unless you staked your claim early. Towels? Forget it — they were always out by early afternoon. The beach itself was decent in size and the service was passable, but red flags were up every single day, shutting down any water activities. Again, loungers were severely lacking, and towels were just as scarce on the beach as they were at the pool. As for the food, it was a major letdown. Even by basic standards, it was bland and uninspired especially disappointing for a country known for amazing cuisine. The à la carte restaurants were nothing special either, just barely scraping by as "adequate." Overall, my wife and I were thoroughly disappointed. This resort failed on nearly every front, and we deeply regretted choosing it. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Such a great place to stay. We stayed for a week and the service was impeccable. The entertainment team and the activities during the day were fantastic. So many Canadians staying at the resort too. Highly... recommend! It was great weather for our whole week.

We had a wonderful week at Secrets Huatulco. We enjoyed the beach, the restaurants, the pool, and the surrounding communities which were very welcoming and friendly. Most importantly, the staff was all fan...tastic, and the most memorable part of our stay! A few names stick out. Citlali, our housekeeper worked so hard to ensure a stress free and peaceful stay and did an excellent job! Angela was very attentive in service of drinks during our time on the beach. Kenia served us in the Market Cafe, providing excellent service and always a welcoming smile. There are several other staff members who made this stay memorable and I wish I could recall all the names of the amazing people we had the pleasure of meeting. We'll be back!

Wonderful resort with equally wonderful staff. We ate delicious food every night and we were recommended some really fun things to do in the area. Big thank you to Rose and Angel for alerting us to the Hya...tt membership. They provided good info without any pressure. Great program for travellers. We will be back!!!
