Modern hotel in a great location

Stayed here as a family for Disneyland. Great spot. Very short walk to the park entrance. Don’t even consider a shuttle, very easy walk. Check in was the best I’ve ever experienced. The gentleman was so we...lcoming, fast and thorough. Didn’t keep me at the desk for any longer than needed but I was told everything I needed to know. Rooms are very new and spacious. We had 4 of us in a twin room with a plethora of bags and we still managed. Bathrooms are modern and spacious. There is a Starbucks in the foyer too which was convenient. Also a Starbucks and a Huckleberry’s outside the hotel which we used every day on the walk to DL. The negatives for me, the lobby bar was consistently under-staffed and the chaos of trying to get a drink made it not worth it. Also for the 7 days I stayed there nobody answered a single phone call.. reception, room service, housekeeping.. weirdly not a single call was answered from our room. Overall an amazing hotel with a few flaws but would probably choose to stay there again, just won’t bother going to the lobby bar.
Gabby is the best Lounge Host

I took my two grand kids to Disneyland for two days and they asked for a staycation, so we chose the JW Marriott due to it's proximity to Disneyland. We absolutely loved the hotel, but GABBY at the loung...e really made the difference. Gabby was very attentive and made us all feel at home. I went to make me a LOX sandwich and there was no more Salmon, so Gabby immediately went to the kitchen and brought us the Salmon for our LOX Sandwich. Our grandkids wanted Fruit Loops and there wasn't any in the in the cereal basket, so again, Gabby went and got our Grandkids each a box of it. We only saw her two days (Friday and Saturday mornings) but she made us feel like family. We will be back soon and hope to see Gabby at the lounge. The hotel did not have a Jacuzzi, which was somewhat of a disappointment, considering the class of the hotel. However, the pool is heated and we went swimming from 8:30 PM to 10 PM (which is when it closes). The room was very nice and clean and we had a view of the parks. There is an exit to the second level garden which takes you to all the restaurants that are at the Garden Walk. Also, if you are not going to be using your car, avoid the high cost of Valet parking at the hotel and park at the parking structure behind the Garden Walk (Park on the 4th Level towards the middle of the side facing the hotel and the walk is very short) and you can enter the hotel from the Garden Walk. We will be back soon!
