Beautiful resort with amazing staff

This was our 2nd time visiting this resort. We stayed in The Millionaire Butler Room in Building 15. Our butlers were Okeira and Serome. Hit the jackpot with these two. Kind, considerate and figured out ou...r preferences early in our stay. Never hesitated to find out if there was anything else we needed. Went out of their way to be sure we had morning coffee on time, our cooler stocked with beer and champagne and that I had fresh mangos and papaya when available not to mention snacks every afternoon and dessert in our room every night when we got back. Top notch team! Our days were spent on the beach enjoying the beautiful sound of the waves. Met delightful people that we were truly honored to get to know and find out about their love of their jobs, faith, family and culture. Aston and Ceressa were extremely hard working and truly there for the guest experience. Looked forward to seeing their friendly faces every day, Morning breakfast was at Butch’s and were greeted with a kind smile every day by Lacian who is truly a gem. Our efficient server Chevelle is one in a million and is the hardest working person I have ever seen all with a smile and kind words. When she was off we had Albertina who was extremely pleasant and a smile to light up the room. Started our day out well. Food was always hot and freshly prepared. Mimosas were yummy too! Our main housekeeper Kandiece was a beautiful soul and efficiently cleaned our room. When I was in the room when she was cleaning she asked several times if we needed anything else. Such a kind light in this world. Our favorite bar was Latitudes to watch the sunset and have a cocktail before dinner. Absolutely beautiful views. We loved the food at Cucina Romana and enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan and The Penne Carbonara and the daily risotto was out of this world. I loved the grilled vegetables and could eat those every single day. Butches was incredible for dinner with the prime rib being the biggest one I have ever seen. Done to perfection and so tender. No knife needed. In conclusion we loved our vacation and were truly honored to be a guest at a resort where we were treated so well. Honored to hear about their life, faith and cultures. We will cherish these memories forever.
Beautiful resort but employees could be rude, untimely or unreliable

My husband & I spent our honeymoon with Sandals Montego Bay and while we overall had a wonderful time, we were pretty disappointed with Sandals on a few different accounts considering the money we were pay...ing. The resort is beautiful, with lots to do and the food is pretty good for an all inclusive. House keeping came twice a day and kept our room spotless. There was a great variety of entertainment, and the performers were super friendly/ talented. Some small things did add up, such as rude workers and the consistently unreliable times we were given. We like to interact with the workers and ask their recommendations for food and drink or directions when needed. Half the time, the employees looked annoyed/ inconvenienced to be asked or stared blankly at us. We asked where the gym was, and with an attitude, the worker pointed out that we didn’t know where anything was. When we said “yeah sorry it’s only our second day”, she said “you should know this by your second day”. No orientation or tour was offered to us when we were led to our room the first day. Maybe it’s partly cultural to have a more laidback schedule, but I am struggling to recall many instances where we WEREN’T given multiple different times by multiple different people. For example, worker tells us the aqua shack opens at 8. It really opens at 8:30. (Our excursion left at 8:20 so we had to beg them to let us in before hours to buy the mandatory water shoes.) We were told an employee would pick up our bags at 10:30 on checkout day. At 11:30, we took them ourselves. We had dinner reservations at 7. We didn’t get let in until 7:30. We were told tubing finishes at 4:45. They had everything shut down at 4. Martini event in the concierge lounge from 5-5:30. Concierge lounge is completely empty at 5:15. Our most frustrating one was our cabana. We were told to wait in our room for an employee to take us to our private cabana at 9am. We waited an hour and went to the front desk multiple times, assuming they forgot about us. We paid $1k for the 12 hour day experience and only ended up having a couple hours in the cabana before our next experience. Breakfast came a half hour late that morning. We also felt Sandals made some promises they didn’t keep. My husband let them know we were unhappy while on minute 45 of waiting for our cabana, and the concierge was apologetic and promised they will “do something to make up for it”. We were there 5 more days, and they did nothing. While booking the trip, my husband indicated it was our honeymoon and was emailed a form to fill out for 2 complimentary excursions if we could prove we were married. We know other couples (at Montego Bay and other Sandals resorts) that got this deal. Long story short, we didn’t. My husband talked to multiple people before the trip and at the resort and was basically just bounced around to the next person with no answer until he was told to call Sandals 1-800 number who told him after an hour and a half that there was nothing they could do. Wasted about 3 hours of his time that day of vacation. We understand that things happen (you can’t always be on time, workers have bad days, etc). But it really felt like one thing after another, and it sometimes required a conscious effort for us to have a positive attitude and enjoy our honeymoon. I rarely give bad reviews. But considering the money we paid, I really expected better and would hope those things are improved if we ever return to Sandals.
Fabulous stay

Fabulous week at Montego Bay! This was our second stay in Jamaica. The first was South Coast in October. SC had a much bigger and better buffet, but the restaurants at MB were great, especially Butch’s an...d the Italian restaurant. The snorkeling at MB was the best we’ve done anywhere (Dominican Republic, Cancun, South Coast). We went every day. We even had four HUGE spotted eagle rays swim under us one day. I saw reviews where some people complained about airplane noise, but honestly that didn’t bother us one bit. It only lasted a second and nothing at night. The first night we were there the music was loud until around 11 or 12, but the rest of the nights were quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Jameela, Christopher, and Jeromy. The only exception was the gift shop ladies at both MB and Royal Caribbean (which you can take the shuttle to). Both ladies were almost comically rude. The rooms were nice and beds comfortable. The beach was gorgeous and ocean was free of seaweed both in October and this time in May. The sunsets are unbeatable. We appreciated having pickleballl courts to get some exercise.

First time at sandals Montego Bay, and couldn’t be happier no complaints here. Food was great. Drinks were great. We loved it and definitely will be back.
A Memorable Honeymoon at Sandals Montego Bay

This is our first-ever stay at a Sandals resort—Montego Bay—and we chose it to celebrate our honeymoon. Overall, it has been a truly wonderful experience so far. The absolute highlight of our trip has bee...n the entertainment team and a few standout staff members who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Demario (aka Super Mario) was the heart of our vacation—he brought incredible energy, led fun beach games, danced with guests, and took the time to have real conversations. By the end of the trip, I didn’t just see him as part of the staff, but as a true friend. Lady J, Crazy Chris, and Shania were also fantastic—talented, warm, and so much fun to be around. Every show and activity they led was a blast and made each day exciting. The nightly shows have been absolutely great—fun, high-energy, and well put together. The DJs have also been excellent, keeping the vibes going and making every evening feel like a party. Jordan was another standout—we absolutely loved him. His saxophone performances were nothing short of amazing. His talent and kindness added something truly special to our evenings. And Leonardo, our favorite bartender, not only made incredible drinks but was also a genuinely great guy—always welcoming and fun to chat with. That said, not all staff members were very friendly. Some didn’t seem happy to be there and carried a negative demeanor, occasionally coming off as rude. This was disappointing, especially considering the high standards Sandals is known for. We’ve also found the dining experience a bit lacking. The food has been just okay—nothing to write home about. Breakfast restaurants open later than ideal for early risers. In fact, I’m actually writing this review while I wait for somewhere to open for breakfast. Lunch options are also limited, as most restaurants only open for dinner, which makes daytime dining feel repetitive and restricted. Despite those few issues, the incredible staff members we mentioned made our vacation unforgettable. Their energy, kindness, and dedication to guest experience truly made all the difference. We’re so glad we chose Sandals for our first all-inclusive experience!
