I love the location of the hotel. Just walk over to the Toy Story lot and get the shuttle to the parks. The hotel is nice and has the potential to be very nice. Currently, they are renovating it, which is needed. The carpet and furnishings have seen better days. Once the renovation is complete, it will be a fantastic place for families to stay. The rooms are good size and having a kitchen is a huge bonus when traveling with children.

I picked the hotel because of the location to Disneyland via the shuttle at the Toy Story parking lot. That was a great decision because it was a 10-15 minute walk and in the morning they have security at the parking lot so you can skip it for the park. The hotel: It is definitely dated and stains were on the carpet, the furniture, and in the hallways. We were on the 2nd floor in a double Queen suite and it was okay. They were doing renovations right above us so when we came to rest during the day, it sounded like a herd of elephants going back and forth. The staff: They were pleasant and I even received a test asking if I needed anything. Even if it was automated it was a nice touch. The breakfast: It was filled with a bunch of carbs and they kept it stocked. If you wanted protein, your choices were eggs or sausage patties. It opened at 6:30 am so you could grab a quick bite and then walk to the parking lot in order to make rope drop. Food options: There are a few restaurants like Denny’s and IHOP that are relatively close and a Cheesecake Factory but who wants to do extra walking when you walk over 20k steps at Disney. We ended up using DoorDash to get whatever we really wanted. Overall: I think the price difference would have been $200 between Homewood and a Disney hotel, so if you can afford it, I would go there. Then you get the extra 30 minutes for one of the parks.

I’ve been a loyal Hilton family member for decades. Very proud to have my Diamond status because it sometimes is helpful for getting rooms even when the website says at a hotel is fully booked. Frequent room upgrades and credits towards meals are an extra bonus as well. This hotel is GREAT! . Very friendly staff. Perfect location for a visit to Disneyland. The secret is the fact that it is next-door to the Toy Story parking lot. So you can stay at the hotel and just walk next-door to grab the shuttle to Disneyland. As with many of the Hilton properties, this one has free breakfast. And the breakfast is definitely a step above what we normally get when we stay at the Hampton. We have relatives in Southern California and come to Disneyland often. For decades, we’ve stayed at the Disneyland hotel because of its location on the actual Disney property. But they are so inflexible with their reservation system. It makes it difficult. I love that Homewood Suites and Hilton properties in general have such a lenient cancellation policy. A couple to be aware of, this “Homewood Suites - Convention Center” is actually closer to Disneyland than the “Homewood Suites – Main Gate.” ALSO the hotel is undergoing a major room renovation, so the rooms will be even nicer than when I’ve stayed here in the past!

Room is clean and sheets are fresh. Pillows are fluffed. Love the clean, fully stocked kitchen, clean bathroom. Great for family travel with kids. The mattress of the pull out couch needs to be replaced. I can feel the springs. The kids just sleep on the couch without pull out the mattress when they don't feel like sleeping in the room. The couch pads are great. We enjoyed our stay very much for the price.

The bed was very old and uncomfortable. The furniture had stains all over it and carpet was just as bad. I travel a lot and very surprised this placed received so many great reviews. I tried to cancel my reservation to go somewhere else and I was told it wasn’t refundable.
