We were so excited to have our first company retreat at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort! We got the 10 room package with unlimited drinks and food! Boy were we wrong! One word that describes this trip is No! No, you can’t get a drink even though the pool bar closes at 6:00 pm and you ask for a drink at 5:45pm. No, you can’t pick whether you want soup or salad at the restaurant. You get delivered what was chosen for you by the hotel staff. No, you can’t order appetizers, the manager, Alejandro told us it is not his fault that we made a mistake with the reservation time, so you can’t order appetizers. No, you have to pay for your meals at the restaurant near the bar. No, we can’t find your reservation. No, we can give you late check out. No, you can’t order room service since you are ordering a lot of food for 3 people. So why get the unlimited food and drink package when you are told NO! I have stayed at many resorts all around the world and this is by far the worst customer service I ever experienced! The only saving grace was Alfredo, Marco, and Ruben at the buffet. I will give them a separate review!

Beware RCI timeshare owners! I booked a 1 bedroom for 2 weeks. Had to arrive a day late but was given a newer suite for 6 people, beautiful suite, brand new - thought i would be here for both weeks but NO they tell me I have to move rooms even though i explained I have a toddler on MY OWN and made me wait 40 mins. just to find out if i could stay in the same suite all while he is crying and running around because we were made to wait!!! So then i have to pack all my food and luggage and then durprise have to go back to the front desk twuce because of items left behind ( which i was made again to get myself - no offer by them to go get it ). And then Im told if i do the ' presentation tomorrow lol ' ya right with a toddler I could get an upgrade. So they basically lie and say there's no one bedrooms with balconies available oh but if i do the presentation i can get one. And I have to call RCI to complain. Hello it's your hotel you could have let me stay where i was! So now my elderly parents have to sleep on the foam cement beds when they come and my sister has to book another hotel now because we can't all fit in the new room!!! Shameful way to treat someone on their own with a child! Not to mention the food in room service - pizza was awful and BLT at the pool just plain in edible - and Im not one to complain usually. I've never had to move rooms when booking a timeshare EVER. This hotel plays games. They don't care about making their guests happy. You've been warned! Plus the beach! Can't swim in it or enjoy it. Rocky weird sand and reef, rocks and sea urchins. You will be sorely disappointed if you are wanting a beach holiday!

This is our second time staying with friends at their time share. Of course the renovated rooms are beautiful and the views are breathtaking. All the staff are so welcoming and friendly, but Jimena and Mariana (with the entertainment crew) are what made are trip most memorable the first time and what we looked forward to most this time. Those two girls heard our names once and never forgot them. They are the sweetest, engaging and so much fun. The Sheraton has done a great job and knows what they are doing!

The Buganvilias Resort at the Sheraton was a great place to stay for 3 of us. The front desk staff were friendly, knowledgeable, prompt and had an answer for any questions that we asked. We had a one bedroom but the daybeds in the living room were comfortable to sleep on too. It was great to have a small kitchenette so that we could bring some food and light snacks back with us and prepare a light breakfast before we left for the day. Housekeeping was great and had our room made up for us everyday. Jorge at the pool bar kept us hydrated. We enjoyed having access to the Resort pool as it was quieter and less crowded than the Hotel pool. Our room looked southwest over the bay and we were treated to beautiful sunsets. We really enjoyed the walkability of this resort and walked south to the malecon as well as north to find some restaurants and a grocery store nearby. We were given a tour of the other rooms available at the resort but the presentation was unnecessarily long and wore us out by the end of the 3 hours. These could be shortened and be made more palatable by having a concise paper copy outline of what is available at the different levels.

Great resort! The location is fabulous, many stores nearby, the Malecon a fifteen minute walk away. Food was good. Resort very nice with one big pool and one adults only pool. We only ate at the buffet and it was varied and tasty each day. Special shout out to Pamela, Janet, and Iris who escorted you to your table at the buffet. All the servers were wonderful, every one of them. Poolside waiter Mariano looked after us very well. Another shout out to Bryand at reception who patiently answered all our questions. My husband had two amazing massages with Ramona at the spa and highly recommends her. I would have liked more nightly entertainment. There was only a show on Friday and Saturday night. Lots to do at this resort but never felt pressured to partake. You will not go wrong choosing this resort. We will be back!
