I recently spent three nights at this property with my wife and two teenagers. I'll start off by saying this, the property has a lot of good things going for it and I thought it was really a great value. F...or the price, I thought the grounds, the room, the pools, the food, and the entertainment were really good. The coffee shop, Mike's, is awesome and it was probably my favorite part of the resort. We loved the ice cream and the bowling. Some of the staff members were wonderful, some of them were so-so, and unortunately there was a sizeable number of them who were amongst the worst I've ever encountered in the hospitality industry. I honestly felt like there was a contingent of the staff that held me in utter disdain. It was almost as if they enjoyed being rude to me or just flat out ignoring me. When our room was not ready at the 3pm check in time they were rude about it, despite the fact I didn't make a big deal out of it and waited patiently. There were several times where a staff member could tell I wanted something but just sat there staring down on their phone, obviously not doing anything work related, just to make me wait. Like I said, I felt like some of them got a kick out of being rude. However, the oddest moment was when I was just walking and made eye contact with a young male staff member whom I'd never interacted with before and he looked me right in the eye and said, "I hate you" and walked away. It was weird and unnerving. I have no idea why he chose to say that to me. Really creepy. Really, really, creepy. I obviously can't get in the minds of other people but I got the sense a lot of their disdain and rudeness was because I'm American. (I look the part.) At no point was I ever being difficult or making any complaints or causing any trouble. Maybe they were just rude people and it had nothing to do with my nationality but I got the sense it did. Either way, I don't think anybody wants to be treated with a mixture of disdain and indifference regardless the reason. If you aren't American you might have a different experience but I don't know. If you are American, I would try a different resort and hope you get a different result. Like I said, there were a lot of really pleasant people who we enjoyed interacting with but there were far too many bad apples that ruined the bunch for the good ones.

!!!!!!!!THIS PLACE IS NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN!!!!!! Especially if you are traveling alone. Possibly involved in s*x trafficking. Staff asked me if I was traveling alone. This was the first red flag. Scary men ...everywhere who will touch you without consent. Left after the first night.

Ocean blue is the best resort in Punta Cana! Barbie was so much fun and always made our day fun. The food was great specifically the Japanese and steakhouse. The staff always did a great job and keeping ev...eryone involved and there were always seats available. Highly recommend!

The service on the beach was incredible! I specifically loved the worker, Yulibel!!!! I loved her energetic and bubbly personality. She always greeted us first thing in the morning and made sure we had eve...rything we needed. I absolutely loved this resort!

This hotel is really bad no explanation needed believe me dont wasted you money for this resort. Better go to a other one nearby. And don't go to the casino over there is really a big Joke what they have ...there they scamming guest from other hotels.
