Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

Old. Tired. Lacking efficiency and not worthy of the Grand Hyatt name.

My experience was mixed. Valet upon arrival was kind, and hotel check-in was very friendly. That's about where it ends. The 1823 restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Staff are mediocre, alcohol selection... is awful, bar tender couldn't make anything wrong asked for (not a full bar), we asked what kind of coffee they served and the answer was "some generic kind." Pool was small and crowded. There was only one seating area outside, and that was by the pool, and the cushions were flat. Rooms are very noisy. Sink water pressure on full blast was a strong trickle at best. The breakfast buffet is $31. Way too much. Had to wait for one valet person when we arrived at the hotel last night from dinner. This morning, we were asked to pick up our valet in the garage due to a wedding. Guy brought the car and didn't ask to help put our luggage in (I was with my 80 year old mom) and no direction on how to exit the garage. For Hyatt Brand, I was really disappointed. So was another guest we spoke with. Kids bouncing basketballs in the lobby next to the restaurant while you're trying to eat, dogs barking during check in right near restaurant. No one said anything to them. The hotel is old and needs better management and an efficiency expert. I will not stay here again.
Nice weekend get away

Went for a little weekend get away with my wife and it was nice and relaxing. Room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Had an amazing city view from which I watched the sunrise the next morning out... of the big windows. Very peaceful stay and I’m already planning the next one.
