Great outdoor hot tub!

Audrey D on Sep 29, 2024

We loved our stay at the Hyatt! Nice modern rooms, and a great outdoor hot tub/pool. Everything was very clean and well kept, and the bed was comfy! Excellent service and a handy Starbucks in the lobby. We’ll be back next time we’re in town! Super convenient location near everything.

solid

The location is amazing, center of the city, mixed in with the vibes of the financial district. McDonalds is right next to it. The water and convention center is less than 5 minutes away via walking; you can even see it from your hotel room. There was some confusion as to when we needed hotel validation parking. And we got ticketed which was not fun. It is underground and down a ramp that has an automatic garage door (we didn't know that it would open. We backed out and went back in to try, and discovered it). Paraya at the front desk dealt with our issues with ease, professionalism, and speediness. She anticipated what I needed before asking and provided excellent service! I hope that they would have more drinkable water refill stations available as the need to go down to get water is a bit tedious. I heard the toilet flush from the other room near the end of my stay, but the room was generally quiet throughout the week. The housekeeper, although she was friendly, should be trained or advised to not ask attendants for their room number in the hallway for privacy concerns. Next time I'd love to try the balcony rooms.

Great stay

survivorGirl (London, United Kingdom) on Sep 27, 2024

Had a great stay at this hotel recently. Check in was smooth and quick. Room was comfortable, and a lot bigger than I was expecting. Nice sized bathroom with some amenities. Selection of teas and coffees. You have to use your room key to access the lifts, which makes it easier to get to your floor, but also a nice safety feature. Hotel was close to everything in downtown, and next door is a skytrain stop.

Business-Yes Family-No

Good and Bad. Convenient to downtown activities, this is the perfect "Business" hotel. New York City restaurant prices, Very modern. 5 computerized elevators that tell you which one to take after you press your floor number. Nice fitness area with outdoor heated pool and spa. You can order food from QRC codes on each table. "Outdoor Club" is a great workout using the nature painted stairwell 24+ floors. We had King sized hard bed on 22nd floor. Only water in room was bottled water in fridge at 6.75 each, or travel down 18 floors each time to refill your water bottle or your ice bucket. Business-Yes. Family-No

Lovely stay spoiled by disappointing breakfast

Sharon M (Majorca, Spain) on Sep 26, 2024

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a cruise. Good points: good size room, quiet, comfortable beds and pillows. Great location with lots of local eating options - also great bar and bar staff - didn't feel like a soulless hotel bar. Staff at reception and concierge very helpful. Room for improvement: nowhere to hang towels to dry in the bathroom - we had to drape them over chairs in the bedroom. Breakfast was chaotic! First morning there was a long wait; ordered juice and coffee from the waitress - juice didn't appear and no top up of coffee offered. Following mornings the queues weren't so bad, but buffet options weren't topped up quickly, and staff appeared rushed and not focused on attending to customers. Our feeling was that there weren't enough staff on duty. Also inexplicably the the coffee shop wasn't open at a weekend so couldn't get a take out coffee for the room. Would stay again, in the hope the breakfast set-up had improved.
