Had an amazing time! There were lots of fun activities but my favourite was the shooting competition with Jans. He was a blast always had us laughing while being a total professional. We also loved our pi...zza guy Arian he was always smiling and inviting and his pizza was top notch!

The resort was very nice and clean. The food was good and there was lots of varieties. The main buffet always has lots to choose from. If you want ketchup, salt or pepper you just ask for it. I took ket...chup, salt and pepper and peanut butter with me and the peanut butter was all I used. The meat I find is usually overcooked but better than getting sick. We had a room with 2 double beds and they were very comfortable. We had to ask for a couple of extra towels but that's fine. The shower head holder was a little loose but we managed. The only concern we had at first was that our sliding door didn't lock,but after putting the chair on the track for a few days we didn't find that necessary. Cuba is very safe and didn't feel at any time nervous. Check your main door because we found a couple of times it wouldn't lock, and when we'd leave we could open it without the key. The front desk always sent someone to fix it. No worries, we always used the safe. The alacart restaurants are nice but the Japanese one is the best! We attended the Canadian party on Wednesday and had a fantastic time, then git invited to another party outside the resort the next day, that was incredible. The beach is beautiful and there's lots of lounging and umbrellas. There's some renovation taking place so the resort isn't full. The pools are lovely and lots of them. Just take some extra toilet paper because the washrooms around the resort and pool areas usually don't have any. We did have issues with the internet, we often had to sign up throughout the day. We couldn't even log on to check in the night before departure. It also depends where you are. The people are super nice and helpful. I would go back to this resort.

We arrive at this hotel only because we were evacuated from our other hotel, it took 3 hours to get checked in. The room we got was not what we paid for, dirty sheets no towels. Asked the next day for a ro...om upgrade, moved at 5pm so called ocean view. Not. Staff was not accommodating at all. Hotel looks great from outside but not inside. Not recommended.

if you go to Cuba, go with an open mind. the ocean is beautiful, the pools are pristine, the food is O.K. and the rooms are usually in need of a refresh. in this hotel the internet works in the main lobb...y and restaurants, but never reached my room. a tip is a dollar for anything, so you can feel like the king of the world tipping all day and spend only $10.00. i had a small poolside restaurant near my room, so i could order a meal off the menu and have it served to me. the menu seldom changes, but it was ok food. the first night i arrived the buffet had 3 turkeys on the carvery. lots of food items, so i could cut a couple pieces of bread, take lunch meat and cheese and have a nice sandwich for lunch. i tried 2 of the 3 specialty restaurants and had good meals. on Wednesday they had Canada Day with a big bbq with all kinds of meat. i found that they would periodically run out of something, bacon, cheddar cheese etc. but a day or two later they would be serving it again. although i don't drink, the booze was flowing all day long. there are two places to get a nice cappuccino. the staff is always friendly, but not always in a rush to serve. the desserts were surprisingly delicious. if you go, remember that this is a country that has been blockaded by the U.S. for over 50 years, so maybe take some goods to leave with the people. i went with a suitcase that weighed 29KG, and a backpack, and came back with no backpack, and a suitcase that weighed 13KG. Cuba is a beautiful country with friendly people who appreciate canadians, but go to have a nice time in the sun, and go with the flow.

I have been to many resorts in Cuba, but I must say that the experience I had at this resort was above my expectations. The people are so friendly and caring. The room I had was very comfortable and (Dunia...) the lady that cleaned my room was such a nice and pleasant person. I asked where I could buy a charger for my phone that I had forgotten, and the next morning she brought me one from her home. I was really touched by her thoughtfullness. I must also comment on the cleanyness of the grounds. There was one that stood out by how dedicated to her job she was, and also so pleasant to speak with. Thank you (Keny). I will miss your pretty smile. :) But I plan to return one day!
