Starting July 1, Melia Varadero will begin a remodeling project of 146 rooms. The work includes; Replacement of room and terrace furniture, room floor, replacement of
doors, textiles, TV, safe security box, minibar, lighting, air conditioning, bathrooms and balcony doors.
The completion of the improvements is expected by April 30th, 2025.
Some noise, dust and other issues will be associated with this project however all efforts will be made to minimize guest impact during this time.

MELIA VARADERO BEST OPTION

For me, the Melia Varadero hotel was the best option I made on this trip. Everything was perfect. At the Level, Roly greeted me, very attentive and very friendly, the Las Palmas bar was wonderful, the guys make you laugh and prepare the best drinks for you, thanks to the guajira, Adrian and the other guys, Julia is the girl who makes restaurant reservations, She is the most friendly and enthusiastic and solves everything for you. The buffet was where I ate most of the time, very good variety of food and very good service.

Wow! What a week!! As someone who has travelled to cuba 10+ times I felt compelled to write this review as our stay was nothing short of magical. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles and staff who were eager to help! Front desk staff quickly helped us check in and front door men grabbed our bags to bring us to our room. We stayed in a regular room on level 1 and were very happy with it. No need to upgrade! Everything worked as it should, and our sweetheart maid (Yarelis) made sure everything was very clean. She even left us towel animals daily and little notes thanking us for the gifts we left her. Anytime we needed water, toilet paper etc she was quick to deliver! First visit down to the lobby bar, we once again were greeted with happy faces welcoming us to the hotel! Bartenders, Emmanuel, Roberto, Osmany, Beatriz and Adrian were absolutely phenomenal! They were the highlight of our stay, always saying hi and checking in when they saw us around the hotel. We also went to them for anything we needed and they always pointed us in the right direction. A++++ to all of them! They work so so hard! Food was great, so much selection and absolutely no shortages noticed whatsoever. We did one restaurant (Japanese) which was a fun experience watching the chefs cook right in front of us and again food was great! 24hr snack bar always had a good selection with kind staff. Pool and beach were beautiful! Resort is a nice size and not too big, great for everyone, couples, families and solo. We will definitely be returning and bringing our daughter next time! They even have a babysitting service! I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of our hearts! - Chad & Sam
