Amaxing stay at Embassy Suites!

Journey21651 (Milford, Massachusetts) on Jul 11, 2024

After reading every review on this website, I want to make sure that I leave feedback as the reviews on this website were so helpful! If you are contemplating booking this hotel, do not second-guess your choice. We traveled with our three teenage daughters and stayed for a week at the Embassy suites. To start out, the lobby is absolutely amazing. We traveled to many other hotels on the island and walked through the lobbys and this one truly is probably the most comfortable and relaxed one that we found. There are seating areas everywhere, high top tables to sit and play cards at, comfortable chairs. It really has a very relaxed welcoming vibe that meets you as as soon as you walk in. The pool area in my opinion was definitely the best on the island. Again, we walked through many resorts, and there was not a pool that was as big and spacious as this one. The pool was open until midnight, which was an added bonus. We had friends staying at the Holiday Inn and their pool closed at 7:30. The views from the balcony were beautiful. Some of the negative reviews mentioned the road between the hotel and the beach and honestly when you're sitting on your balcony, it doesn't make any difference. The views were phenomenal. The included breakfast buffet was absolutely outstanding! Great choices every day. Full omelette station, bacon, sausage, fruit, cereal. Definitely an added bonus that prompted us to book here. The evening reception was great in the sense of the two free drinks. I will say that the snacks that they offer were probably the lowest point of our stay. Don't be too excited about the evening reception. Literally chips and dip and cheese without any crackers. The two free drinks were fantastic, but don't plan on the evening reception being anything more than a quick snack. So many conversations on here about the beach. Here's what I will say. The beach was great! Was it the most beautiful beach on the island? Absolutely not. However… It was Sandy, the water was incredibly clear and you could walk literally 15 feet to the right on the other side of the rock jetty and there was another beautiful beach. If you are looking to walk out of your room and be on the sand and have expectations of eagle Beach will not find that at this hotel, however the beach was perfect for what we needed. We rented a car and drove around the island exploring all of the beautiful beaches. Embassy suites was a perfect base of operations for that! Included in your stay, you can use bike rentals. We definitely used those and drove up Palm Beach to explore. We also took advantage of the five dollar per day Tommy Bahama backpack chairs. This was great! We had no problem going down and getting chairs. It was worth the $25 for us as a family of five to get chairs to bring to the beach. In addition to the actual facilities, being amazing, the people who worked at this hotel were fantastic. Everyone was smiling, everyone was looking to see what they could do to help you. From beginning to end, our experience was five star at this beautiful space. When booking your room, you can book a room that is poolside that walks right out to the pool. We preferred an oceanfront room to be able to look out over the water and watch the sunsets. I think both are great options! So if you were thinking of booking the embassy suites, do not question your decision. The hotel is brand new, and everything you will need for a great base of operations for your time in Aruba!!

Aruba is not pretty, scabies are not fun.

Lechatnoir S (Saratoga Springs, New York) on Jul 09, 2024

Loved the hotel, but the beach is deplorable. Through a tunnel across the street. Constant gale wind on rocky beach with no amenities. While the room looked beautiful, apparently my sheets weren't clean. And I contracted Scabies. Restaurant had a limited finner menu, but the happy hour and breakfast were great. Scabies was a deal breaker for me though. I will pack and bring my own linens in future to all Hiltons. Aruba is a flat, ugly island. Won't be back.
