Please do not stag here. Awful.

Please do not waste your money staying here. Very basic in every way. Dated. Falling apart. Totally unloved. Rude check in. Rude managers. Most of the staff are unhappy. Lacking in entertainment. We b...ooked an all inclusive stay. However, this is not an all inclusive hotel at all. We couldn’t get a drink before breakfast opened, no water, soft drinks or coffee! Breakfast was basic. Then you had to wait for the beach bar to open before you were able to get a drink. Supposed to open at 10am. More like 11am or when they felt like it. You couldn’t get anything to eat until lunch time. Then you couldn’t get anything to eat until the evening. One night they had no food to give us. When I spoke to the manager I was told to go to the vending machine. We had to catch the bus to the local supermarket to stock up on water etc
Savannah beach at Christmas
Amber B on Jan 03, 2025
We had our first Christmas in Barbados at savannah beach and was not disappointed. It was such a friendly atmosphere & a lovely place to spend Christmas. The kids club went all out and got all the children... in the hotel a present and a visit from Santa and the Christmas vibes were so good. Cannot forget to mention Ramon, a well respected guy around the hotel. He takes to time to welcome guests and know them well, he always engaged us to a game of water polo which was always fun! Any problems or queries he was the guy to go to. Thank you savannah beach for a memorable Christmas

It was our 1st Christmas away and our 1st time to Barbados. All I can say was we weren't disappointed at all what a beautiful place. We stayed at the Savannah beach club hotel and the rooms were clean and ...tidy, the food was lovely the hotel staff were amazing. So friendly and ready to help at anytime. Beverley and her girls on a morning for breakfast were always so friendly made you feel like you were home. Ramòn was our friendly go to guy if we needed any help or information. My children enjoyed joining in the activities he had going on through the day. I would love to come back to the Savannah hotel in the future. Thank you again to all the staff for making our family Christmas away great.
Savannah - a great family hotel

We went as a family of four over Christmas. The Christmas festivities were amazing. A santa on the beach was great for the kids. We had a deluxe double pool view room. It was well appointed with two king... size beds, a great bathroom and modern walk in shower. The room also had a kettle and fridge. Coffee and sugar was well stocked. The room was cleaned daily. Towels were changed daily, sheets every three days. Beach towels are provided daily at the beach towel station. Our room opened onto the pool which meanders around the beautiful grounds which are excellentlu maintained. This pool (as is the main pool) is 3'6. Enough to wade in, swim around or cool off. Just no diving, simples. The restaurants are fantastic in my view. My first All Inclusive and the Drifters bar is well stocked and open from 10am to about 11pm. The meal options are plentiful. Lunch is mainly at Drifters on the beach. A beautifully appointed relaxed buffet experience. Always a chicken, red meat and fish option. There is a ton of salad, soups and bbq station for burgers, chips and hotdogs. Staff are very attentive and look to refill your water and take bar orders. There is great entertainment on some nights and we had the pleasure of seeing sone lovely singers, bands and local cultural entertainers. Kelly, in particular, is a great saxophonist and singer. I have been to the Harbour Lights show on previous visits but staying at Savannah means you get to see very similar acts when dining. Breakfast is always a buffet at Rachel's which is upstairs (lift available or get your steps in). Too much choice - pancakes made to order, waffles, bacon, eggs, toast, cereals and a ton if fresh fruit. The waiting staff bring your coffee and tea and do replenish. Listen to the maitre'd Beverley as she runs the breakfast efficiently and with your interests at heart - she'll advise if you go through the wrong door with a hot plate lol. Evening meals have a choice of Chopstix, Rachel's (a la cartel and a Drifters buffet. Rachel's was fantastic and the Drifters buffet great. My wife and daughter two went to Chopstix and loved it. There is a well planned itinerary of activities with Ramon encouraging you. We did pool yoga and pool stretch. Thanks Ramon. Do attend his 10am orientation after you arrive. I was a shy guy when I first worked at 15 and remained so pretty much through to 25. Some of the staff are also school leavers so bear that shyness in mind and engage with them. I found all the staff lovely and happy to talk. The beach is stony, always has been (I've been surfing here since 2001) but 30 seconds left is a beach with breakwater where, if you wear goggles, you can see loads of fish. Similarly a 4 minute walk to the rights gets you to a sandy beach. The hotel is 10 mins from Pebbles beach either by road or through the drill hall beach path. You can see the horses bathe here. Carlisle bay is a few more minutes after pebbles where we swam from the shore (100m) and saw stingrays, turtles and tarpon. Take a visibility buoy. The hotel does a shuttle to Copacabana beach at Carlisle bay Monday, Wednesday and Friday and you get free beach bed and umbrella and 20bds for a drink. Great this. The kids club was great. Air conditioned to allow the kids to cool off and a great range of activities. Lovely staff and Esme loved it. I've been travelling to Barbados since 2000 but I last went in 2009 as kids then came along and so we travelled short haul with them to an apartment I own in The Algarve, Portugal as they grew. So this was my first hotel holiday for some time (not including short European or NYC city breaks). I used to see this hotel as I walked along the beach to surf. I thought it was private apartments but now know better. It will be the place I return to should I be able to return to Barbados in the future (lottery ticket bought). So thank you Savannah, the hotel with a real family feel. I did not get everybody's name but thanks to all and to those who's name I did get: Beverley (aforementioned matre'd extraordinare) Chad Nakita Ramon Dionne Roger Shaneice Akeilla Quinnelle Miguel Samantha Arianah Kelly Ron Thanks, Sean and family
Great family Resort
Gabb_3005 on Dec 26, 2024
This is a reasonably small resort although had very good facilities. Staff were friendly & often got to know the visitors & would ask about our day & the trips we were doing. They seemed to genuinely care... about the visitors having a good holiday. The beach was very clean; I don't think I saw any rubbish e.g. plastic bottles at all. There wasn't lot to see when snorkeling at the beach at the resort although Pebbles beach & Carlisle Bay were both close. There were plenty of sun loungers on the beach. There are 3 restaurants; all had good quality food. On one of the nights we had dinner on the beach at the Drifters restaurant which was followed by a show with fire breathers & limbo dancers which was very entertaining. The pool weaving through the resort was lovely and very relaxing. We had a suite which was spacious and comfortable. We had a Nespresso machine in the suite which was regularly stocked with capsules. There were loungers on the balcony & we had a view of the beach. You could hear the music from the evening entertainment at Drifters from our room although it didn't go on until very late; probably until around 10pm. Kid's club was a big highlight. Kerri & her team provided a very high quality service. They were enthusiastic & very accommodating. The kid's club room has games such as table tennis & air hockey. They also run additional activities such as rock painting, beach walks, slime making & Mario Kart competitions. My son (aged 10 years) particularly enjoyed it & made lots of friends. The resort is well located in Barbados. It is around a 20 mins drive from the airport. It is close to the horse racing track. Early in the morning (around 6-7am), you can walk to Pebbles beach in around 5-10 mins & watch the race horses being washed in the sea. You can have photos with the horses & ride some of them along the beach. George Washington house is around 10 mins walk from the resort & that is worth a visit. Bridgetown is around a 30-40 mins walk & there is a lot to see & do there. There are lots of small bars on the way where you can pop in to have a drink. We visited Jenny's Run Bar which was great fun.
