Beautiful Barbados and Beautiful hotel!

a-cannon-noren (Southport, United Kingdom) on Apr 10, 2025

We are just enjoying our last couple of hours in the sun before heading home. This place is absolutely wonderful; Food- plentiful and good quality, nothing is too much trouble and the cooking lessons fro...m Ether at breakfast were brilliant! The mix of Al a Carte and buffet meant you never got board of what was on offer! Drinks; wow! So generous with portions and excellent quality wine and spirits. Best we have ever had in an AI. Spa; complimentary treatments were lovely and the therapists were excellent. Room; lovely, very clean and serviced every day to a high standard. Very comfortable with everything you could need. Staff; every single member of staff are excellent and go the extra mile. You feel so welcome here and cared for. Trips; we did the exotic Barbados tour. Catamaran, fish fry at Oistins and took the reggae bus to Holetown and Bridgetown. Would recommend all of them. Also a trip to Wendy’s sports bar to watch the Liverpool b Everton game. Island; the island is just beautiful and every person you meet has a smile and a greeting. Would recommend this hotel and island to anyone! It’s just perfect . Alison and Neil

Lovely hotel and a great stay

ccfc001 on Apr 08, 2025

What a lovely hotel this is! We were originally allocated a room with an upstairs area and were impressed...however during the night rain leaked in and we had a very wet floor. When we reported at bre...akfast this we were immediately offered a different room. This one was over the road in the Adults Only section. and really nice. As other reviewers have written there really is no problem getting across the road as friendly drivers always stopped. I think the food was the best I have had in an all inclusive hotel and the glasses of wine the largest! Staff were all really friendly and helpful and always checking if there was anything we needed. Because the hotel is so nice it's hard to move off the sunbed but I'm glad we did get the Reggae bus into Bridgetown....what an experience! (Bus stop is right outside the hotel). So, in short, I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Perfect Stay

Keri S on Apr 07, 2025

We are just back from the most wonderful week at Waves. This is a gem of a hotel and I am really puzzled by some of the previous negative reviews. From the minute we arrived it was excellent and the staff... are all so friendly and welcoming they really make the hotel feel like it’s a family run hotel rather than part of a group. We were met on arrival and given welcome drinks and a cool cloth which is a lovely touch. We were then taken to our ocean view room and just wow! I would say an ocean view room is a must however the rooms looking over the pool/spa area look just as wonderful and have their own benefits (pool ambassadors popping by to offer refreshments). The food was all perfect and plentiful as are the cocktails. Yes the hotel is split over two sides with the road dividing it however the is a zebra crossing and the locals stop to wave you across which just demonstrates the friendly culture. The spa was amazing and a first for my husband, again staff were so friendly and happy to answer any questions. We did a few trips/tours through the hotel which were all great and they also have a good selection of local taxis they use should you wish not to go as a group and go at your leisure. We spent a lot of our time at the beach which I believe is smaller than it used to be and there can be a few pebbles when getting in to the water but this changes on a daily basis, I guess you can’t help Mother Nature! This said there was plenty of room for everyone and if all beds were full they would make room and get more out. I could keep adding to this review but have to stop somewhere so to sum it up, a fantastic week and we will absolutely return to this hotel. Thank you for making our week so wonderful.
