Unhelpful staff
Vivalamore_tn (Los Angeles, California) on Dec 13, 2024
Property is nice enough especially if all the facilities are open. It’s all inclusive but limited options and unfriendly/unhelpful staff so next to impossible to get anything in a timely fashion. If you want a cappuccino ordered during breakfast it’s a minimum of 20 minutes wait. Any small request -you’re given a fake disdain smile. Small gym with no weight machines. The adult only section is across the street and no beach views. The Asian fusion restaurant has been closed for months with only one restaurant option opened for meals. Mosquitos in the room. Restaurant staff never come over and check on you. Would not stay here again.
Love the Waves

This lovely all-inclusive is a few minutes outside of downtown where all the other hotels are. Located on a private beach, They have 2 parts to the hotel, which are family friendly(oceanfront ) the other side is adults only ( doesn’t have the scenic oceanfront views). Both sides have amazing restaurants, but the all inclusive bar is on the family side. Bartenders definitely aim to please ??. The staff is professional, and young enough to know how to get everything you need - like where to go party/ events or how to get festival costumes last minute. They were also very protective of me and my friend as females at the resort. One of my best travel experiences.
Excellent stay

Me and my wife had a wonderful a 10 night stay at the Waves Check in was easy and enjoyable, meeting the friendly staff on reception and we was also met with a drink of choice. We had a ground floor ocean view room which was amazing to just wake up in the morning and walk out to the decking to catch the sunrise and a coffee at the coffee and snack bar. Although shisho restaurant was shut the hotel done an amazing job of catering at seascape and also providing another menu opposite like the island pub. Every member of staff met you with a smile and a chat and a certain few stick with me, Shemarke behind the bar, Cheryl at the omelette station, sabrina the wonderful waitress that seemed to be everywhere with a wonderful smile. Watersports team was amazing and offered a great service along with the free spa treatments. Evening entertainment was good for a small hotel and the ocean was amazing. We would 100% return here if we get the chance, mainly to the staff and location was fine, not to far away from excursions out and about. We met some wonderful people from England,USA and Canada Many thanks Waves Nikki and Dan
Great place to stay

This is a great hotel! We chose this place because it was small and everything was easily accessible. It took about 40 minutes from the airport in a taxi. We were greeted by Jacqueline as soon as we arrived, given a cocktail and made to feel very welcome. We thought the sea view room was worth it's weight in gold and definitely recommend these rooms. The food was lovely and always a good variety of food. Every meal had an extra bonus of there being a salad bar with a good variety of salads and pulses. The puddings seemed a bit of an after thought and not as good quality as the main meals. Drinks are plentiful and never had to wait to be served. The water taxi is a great way to visit another hotel. The beach at the sister hotel is superior to the W aves beach and easier to get in the water. It's also good for snorkeling which was a real treat. The hospitality at this hotel is outstanding and all of the staff were friendly, happy and willing! The chaps on the beach who took drink orders and brought fruit were also exceptional. Make sure you book a time for dinner in advance as it gets very busy. The spa treatments which are included are wonderful and the staff there are friendly and knowledgeable. One thing to note is there are steps which you can't avoid. About 15 actually from the road into the hotel and around 20 to get to the beach. There's a lift to the rooms though. This isn't really a great place for children as there are limited facilities for them. However the inclusive watersports would definitely appeal to teens. Obviously the building works are temporary so as long as you have clarification on whether that's finished, I would without hesitation recommended this hotel.
Joyful, relaxing, great atmosphere and staff. Good food, cocktails and wine. Spectacular location.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Waves Hotel and Spa, situated on the picturesque part of the island with a beautiful white sandy beach and the most refreshing clear warm turquoise sea. Lots of free water sports such as paddle boarding, kayaking and sailing. Tubing, water skiing and jet skiing was also available for a fee. Very responsible staff keeping you hydrated on the beach with endless complimentary water, ice lollies and fresh fruit. The cocktails, wine and food were consistently of a high standard. The Asian Fusion meal in the main restaurant and the Club Sandwich in the pub was outstanding. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I wanted to say a thank you to Charmaine, who worked in the restaurant and pub area. She so kindly agreed to braid my hair the following day as I was not able to get a booking at a local salon. The hair was stunning, exactly what I wanted and it will see me throughout my one month visit of Barbados and Grenada. My hairdresser from London even messaged me to compliment my hair. We miss you guys!!! Hope to visit again. ??????
