Tourist entry tax and STINAPA nature fee
Visitor Entry Tax: Visitors to Bonaire are required to pay a tourist entry tax of $75 per person, per visit. The funds from the tourist tax are invested to support education, infrastructure, tourism development and sustainability initiatives on the island
STINAPA nature fee : All guests will need to pay locally to enter the marine partk that includes land and sea activities (snorkelling, diving, boat rentals etc.) on the island. . The dive shops, boat rentals and marinas will collect the nonrefundable $40 per person from the guests and it is valid for one year. Alternatively guests can visit https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/ and pay online. For more information please visit stinapa.org/

Beautiful resort, food needs help!

The food just wasn’t fantastic. They served quite a bit of beef, it was horrible. The “green Egg” should not have been used on most of the cuts of beef that was served. Not sure how a cut of beef was bitter, but it was. A lot of the food was not kept hot. Improvements need to be made. The idea of a big buffet for so many people is a great idea, keeps the flow moving and people not waiting. Our room was a bit tired and needed more light. I did hear that our stretch of rooms are to be renovated. The size of the room was great! The pool was nice. It was cloudy, so I don’t know if it was checked everyday. We do have a pool at home, so we recognize issues. All in all we had a very nice time here.

We visited the Plaza for a week with a large group or divers (about 25). Booking, checking in, and getting in our room was smooth. The on site restaurnat and bars (it was an all inclusive) were all great. Staff, servers, and everyone was friendly, pleasant and helpful. We used their on-site Dive Operation, Toucan DIvers which was also great. Staff and DM's all good. End of week party was also a nice touch. The Plaza, all inclusive was a little expensive, but you get what you pay for and I would repeat and recommend.
