This Resort has really upgraded itself into a first class destination. They just opened the new section 2 months before our visit. The main lobby is like an art museum. Great food and nice rooms. I highly recommend the Resort. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

The pillows are not a quality item that I would want my guests to use. Lack of American coffee was not a pleasing way to start a day. Instant coffee served at a 4 star resort...please incorporate a decent American real coffee choice. The selection of beverages, snacks, and food were beyond the imagination. Outstanding service from table and bar personnel, and the front desk staff was first class.

The resort is convenient to reach from the Flamingo Airport. The reception desk and friendly staff took care of everything for us. Our room was very large and included two large beds, a fridge, adequate air conditioning, and a great view from our porch. Diving and snorkeling was available on the 18th Palm house reef right off the beach as well as from the four Toucan Diving dive boats. The on-site owner and management kept everything running smoothly. The large, new all-inclusive restaurant offered great food choices for every meal and the lively pool bar served all sorts of tropical cocktails and beers. We had stayed at the Plaza Resort before but the recent renovations made this trip the best by far.

The resort is being updated. The common areas are really beautiful. We didn't notice much construction work going on, so it didn't bother us. Our room was nice and very spacious. We were in one of the newly updated rooms. The bed was ok, not great, but satisfactory. More pillows with more fill would be nice. Rooms have a hot water pitcher and instant coffee and minifridge. There was also a safe in our room. The walkways need lighting, hopefully this will come soon. The pool area is one of the prettiest I have seen, the photos don't do it justice. We were here for the diving. The onsite dive operator was great and Nitrox was included. Shore dives were really nice as well. The food is buffet style and is very good with lots of choices. I would definitely come back.

The food just wasn’t fantastic. They served quite a bit of beef, it was horrible. The “green Egg” should not have been used on most of the cuts of beef that was served. Not sure how a cut of beef was bitter, but it was. A lot of the food was not kept hot. Improvements need to be made. The idea of a big buffet for so many people is a great idea, keeps the flow moving and people not waiting. Our room was a bit tired and needed more light. I did hear that our stretch of rooms are to be renovated. The size of the room was great! The pool was nice. It was cloudy, so I don’t know if it was checked everyday. We do have a pool at home, so we recognize issues. All in all we had a very nice time here.
