Great location, basic stay

We booked Hotel Krystal mid-December as an add-on night before heading to another resort. Our expectations were absolutely met for what we needed. Room was a little dated, but very spacious and beds were comfortable. Hotel had more of a local hangout feel; nice lobby bar and music entertainment. Only ate at one restaurant and it was basic but good. Pool was a little dirty and hot tub could have been warmer but beach was beautiful and swimmable. Location was great. Overall a convenient, safe spot at a fair price point.

Like many already said - the best part of this hotel/resort is the location! easy access to the beach at any time of the day, and indoor pools for the kids + the monitored activities at the kids' club. The lobby area is a bit loud with daily activities hosted by the club but on the plus side it was always busy and we felt it was one big family room - people were all quite friendly. Not sure if i need to attribute it to the holiday season! a couple of things we wouldve liked - we did not get a beach facing room - guess it was the last minute booking during by season. The bathroom did have a strange smell - we asked for a room freshener to be placed in there to mitigate. hence was not a deal breaker.
