Great stay. Comfy beds, wonderful staff

1. ?Beds: very comfortable, which is so important. 2. ?Pool: nice, but shady seats are claimed early. Also they say "4 pools" but it's 1 pool with subdivisions. Swim up bar is great. There are some activities but it's not non stop so you can relax without activity leaders yelling. Music is playing but not super loud like we've seen other places. 3. ?Food: I thought the buffet food was great. Lots of variety and generally well made. Theme nights for dinner in addition to other buffet foods. Lots of vegetarian, and gluten free options. Asian restaurant wasn't great and was very stuffy despite AC. 4. ?AC: Excellent in room and had a speedy repair one day there was an issue. Buffet is NOT air conditioned which made for sweaty meals and we didn't really want to linger. 5. ?Staff: above and beyond. Very friendly and helpful. We got sick and they checked in on us regularly. 6. ?We used an off site dive shop and it's very close to the dive sites. 7. ?Water sports. We used a kayak and a hobi cat, both included. Super fun but took a while to arrange as they didn't have enough people working for the volume of people setting up dives, getting equipment etc. 8. ?Enjoyed seeing flamingos, peacocks, coatis, iguanas throughout the property. 9. ?One thing I missed that has been available at other AI's is an air conditioned common space to hang out with others you're traveling with. 10. ?Environmental consciousness. Definitely felt real and not just green washing. From the water filling stations to the refillable toiletries, I was glad to see their commitment. 11. Property isn't huge so it's not a long walk anywhere. Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend staying there.

We’ve been here 8 times now and will most certainly return. Rufino is so fun and helpful, greeted us everyday on our way to breakfast and made sure our questions were answered. Eduardo at the Alamo car rental desk was fantastic! And of course our servers Cindy and Glendy were amazing as always when we come to they restaurant. Our room was cleaned to perfection everyday. And Isidro made the best old fashioned and vodka tonic out of everyone, although all the bartenders were wonderful to us. These people have become like family over the past several years when we visit. We call this hotel and island our second home. ??
