Wonderful vacation at Iberostar Waves Cozumel (2 adults + 1 tween). Welcoming, laid-back, eco-friendly. Check-in was a breeze. Lush vegetation, no bugs. Talking parrot, pink flamingos. Coatis roamed freely on the site and were fun to watch. Cute birds. The animals seemed to be well taken care of. Everyone was nice. Did morning-yoga, pilates and pool-workout by instructor Manolo. Liked his classes, which were just the right amount of challenging. Sunset yoga at the beach is a must. The food was appetizing and tasty, with a large variety of healthy and less healthy options. Good selection of snacks at the beach. Good drinks. The kids star camp went above and beyond to entertain my daughter. She was eager to go there every day. The entertainers made Karaoke fun and memorable for us. Liked the lightning around the hotel in the evening, illuminating with tiny blue and green lights near the lobby. Liked having our bracelets as room-keys. Good choice of music. Nice Christmas ambiance (live singers, decorations). Felt safe: Left our belongings at the beach to go eat a few times, nothing lost nor displaced. Cons - I was disappointed with the ocean, which was not fun to swim in and rocky. Got stung in a snorkeling tour and got a bad rash (red itchy bumps), which expanded to my whole body and got me worried. I bought an expensive gel from the lobby for it, and realized too late that I could have gotten vinegar at the dive center to treat it instead. The vinegar would probably have been more effective. (français) Sofia, 11 ans: Je veux absolument retourner à cet hôtel. Les employés étaient sympathiques et écologiques. Le déjeuner ouvre tôt à 6h30. Le seul défaut c'est la plage car ça fait bobo aux pieds sans souliers. Mais bon parlons du positif. Je suis allée au star camp, un camp pour les enfants, et là-bas on ne s’ennuyait pas du tout. Là-bas les enfants accueillent tout le monde. Moi la première journée j’étais gênée, mais les autres enfants faisaient comme si on se connaissait depuis longtemps et les moniteurs sont si amusants. Les activités : Il y avait plusieurs activités pour tous les goûts et les gagnants gagnaient des t-shirts qui leur étaient remis durant le show du soir et les spectacles étaient spectaculaires (si vous allez au fire show et vous avez un peu peur du feu, ne vous mettez pas dans la première rangée (mais le show est spectaculaire!)). Au snack, il y avait la meilleure crème glacée jamais connue de toutes les galaxies.

I was so lucky to get to do several classes with Manolo again...yoga and Pilates...on our recent trip to Mexico. I actually did a class with him the week prior when he was working for a month at the Iberostar Maya on the mainland. As soon as the class started I recognized his wonderful energy. Doing a class with Manolo, with the beach in the background is a first-class experience. Thanks again, Manolo!

We loved the entertainment team, especially Humberto and Jerry. Made every night special! Diving is excellent as Dressels are on the premises. They have activities and shoes every night. Friendly staff and great rooms. Beach is nice, bring water shoes.

Lots of effort into the shows, and very lovely staff who are always helpful. The scuba diving on the resort it also amazing, with lots of amazing animals to see. The food it decent and there are plenty of good options that you can choose from that everyone can enjoy.

Our family of four with kids aged 12 and 14 has truly enjoyed this Iberostar Resort, our first time here. It is smaller and friendlier than other Iberostar properties that we have visited in Mexico and Dominican Republic. Yoga at the beach with Manolo is so peaceful and wonderful. The 2 Marias Mexican Restaurant had some of the best food I have ever tasted at an all-inclusive. Bravo!
