Excellent and great customer service. Friendly staff and great environment. The staff went out of their way to help my 88 year old mother. Clean and great place to stay! They were also good to my son who h...as autism. The staff showed empathy and was caring!

We only stayed one night as we are from another island and mainly came for a business need. We used Chase points transferred to World of Hyatt for our stay which is beneficial as there are no taxes at all ...and no resort/destination fees of any kind. The room was clean and good size. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool area is closed for renovations and the pool looks rather small. We were given the option to use the pool at the Queen Kapiolani hotel a block away. Overall a pretty good value and we would likely stay again.

The Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach was a perfectly serviceable hotel. The staff were all excellent. The hotel's pool was closed, the lobby/bar was uncomfortably warm, and our room's minisplit/air conditioner di...d not cool the suite to a comfortable level. The location of the Hyatt Place was good, as the beach was just down the street. Overall, based upon our 5 day stay, I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend the Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach.
Security Guards need customer service training too

The only bad experience involved the security guard who was rude, arrogant and lazy. I had an encounter with him on June 2, 2025 between 4:30 am and 5:20 am when I asked him to contact the valet to bring ...my cousins' car to the front. My cousins had already called the front desk from their room to ask for their car, and yet they waited in the lobby for a good 20 minutes with no car appearing. When I asked the guard to check on the valet, he told me I should have asked him to do that when I first got to the lobby at 4:30 am. It wasn't my car and I wasn't the one going to the airport. He should have just called the valet without lecturing me. When he reluctantly called for the valet, the valet then explained that he was never contacted by the front desk to have the car ready. We stood in that lobby for a good half hour waiting for the car to be brought to the front.

I had a beachfront room and it was absolutely amazing to wake up and see the beautiful beach. We truly enjoyed our stay and the accommodations were awesome. Looking forward to booking this location again. ...PS Everything is within walking distance from this location and you can catch a Lyft to go anywhere else.
