A time was had

Dennisha B on Sep 25, 2024

This was my first trip to Jamaica and I chose Montego Bay. When searching I came across SeaGarden Resort and said this will be my location of stay. From the time I got out the shuttle I was greeted with nice people and big smiles. Claudia at the front desk check us in and realize it was by birthday weekend before I was able to tell her. Happy belated birthday Claudia she was 9-23. While checking us in she told us to go eat because it was lunch time. When we enter the dining we were greeted by Mr. Clayton and what a gem he is. Our entire stay Mr.Clayton treated me as if I was his family. Shantel and Charm was very helping with planning out our days and Damion was always sweet and willing to help whenever he is needed. I can tell the staff enjoy working for this company. Lastly Mr. Dwight was so nice and helpful what a great leader. He doesn’t just delegate task, but also helps out his team. Overall my stay was wonderful, but the reason I would come back and stay at the resort is Mr.Clayton.

"Shoulder-Season' Serenity

AlisaL813 (Central Florida, Florida) on Sep 18, 2024

SeaGarden Beach Resort is wonderful for a long weekend away, especially during shoulder season (September/October) when rates are lower and occupancy is less crowded. We had a quiet room (#232) just off the main lobby and up the stairs. (Yes, we took the stairs, all 50 or so, and bellmen like Delroy carried up our suitcases, which was great! Note--another building on property does have a lift/elevator if you need it.) Less guests did not mean less service. We found dining staff attentive and friendly. Chefs were at their best, especially on Jamaican night (Fri/Sun) and at the Italian restaurant which we got to visit twice (Sat/Mon--reservations required). Don't forget to cross the small street to the beautiful private beach area on two bays. Snorkel gear, floating mats, and kayaks are available to sign out/borrow from 9am-4pm every day weather permitting. The coral/rocks below the gazebos are full of small colorful fish and even an occasional lobster! The beach bar/grill opens at 10am for cold drinks and 12 noon for cheeseburgers/fries and jerk chicken. I believe it closes at 5pm, but you can always stay a bit longer to enjoy the sunset around 6pm!

Nice hotel with friendly staff, very HOT premises

Bigralph321 on Sep 16, 2024

Very nice staff with good food but note we only had dinner once and breakfast the next morning as we were on a cancelled flight. The hotel staff is very nice, the beach is beautiful and the rooms are nice, my room didn’t have a comforter, not sure if it was because it was an extra room reserved for cancellations etc, also the fridge was empty so I’m not sure if you book normally you’d get those things so call ahead and ask. The other thing I’d say is that this resort is VERY HOT everywhere except the check in lobby and your room. We had dinner after our flight cancelled and literally rushed to our room because it was so HOT. The food at the buffet which is where they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner was fantastic but again super HOT. The beach across the street from the resort is beautiful and the staff are friendly, we were able to go for a few hours before checkin out the next day, it is only for the guest of the resort so don’t worry that is not attached to the resort. Breakfast was good and again very friendly staff but again very HOT. They have other restaurants which we didn’t try as we were only there one night so I’m not sure if they are air conditioned but keep that in mind if you’re booking this hotel. I love Jamaica and its people so anywhere you stay you’d have a great time, is just do you mind sweating while eating. Other than that is nice place. They gave us room 607 which is ocean view and I provided a picture of the sunset view. Higher rooms are going to have an even nicer view.
