excellent service

Rimk44 (St. Petersburg, Florida) on May 10, 2025

We arrived at the Nassau airport and found the Sandals booth, from that moment until the very end of our vacation we experienced extraordinary service. Everyone, I mean everyone was welcoming and courteou...s, truly enhancing the experience. We booked a Oceanview Luxe pkg in the east wing. The east section was more subdued and quiet whereas the West end seemed to be a constant party. we opted for the more relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spotless, everything worked and we were very pleased with the bedding. The view was exactly as portrayed in the website photo., it was lovely ! The main pool on the east side was just lovely and we were able to secure chairs without the assistance of a butler. The swim up bar was very convenient and the bartenders were pouring! Kelton was a most enjoyable employee. As a matter of fact, everywhere you went bartenders were laying out the delicious drinks. All this was to our liking and then we visited the private island , the true highlight of our trip. this place is magnificent, uncrowded and extremely peaceful. Bartenders started pouring at 11 , these folks know what they are doing. Special recognition to Gary at the bar on the private island, he took great care of us. I cannot overstate how enjoyable the private island was for us. Such a relaxing experience. I would have liked to have seen a few more restrooms at the pools, but the real reason I gave this resort a Good instead of Excellent rate was the food. it was truly substandard and not what you would expect with these pricepoints. We paid a la carte for a condlelight dinner on the beach which was stunning except for the meal itself, just not up to snuff. We will consider returning to this resort due to the service level and the relaxation vibe, but the food will have us consider other properties as well.

Grand Bohemian...a true review by a consistent Sandals Resort guest.

Guide17361277380 on May 09, 2025

I have been to the Snadals Grand Bohemian 7 times in the 90's. Excellent beyond compare. Recently went back and has it changed. The staff (90%) has attitudes like you were doing them a favor. Many were rud...e while others made you feel like you were imposing in their space! But there was a few that were up to the Sandals quality. The food was moderate and inconsistent. Entertainment at night was excellent. We will never go back just because of the staffs attitude. It really was a horrible experience considered what you pay and excpect. Going back to Sandals DunnRiver. Excelent all the way around. Probably beacuse the manager mingles with guests while checking on the ficilitys welfare. I give this manage 2 thumbs up for being an asset to the Sandals orginization.

Loved It!!

DJones8200 on May 07, 2025

Me and my husband stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort from 4/25-4/29. We stayed in one of the butler suites. We had an amazing time! The resort was beautiful, the were really friendly and helpful, ...and we liked the layout of our room and the amenities provided in it. The food wasn't anything the rave about, but we aren't complaining either. We didn't have anything from the various restaurants that we didn't enjoy. :) I must say that we did very much enjoy Butch's Restaurant. In fact, we dined there twice. My favorite memories was the Romantic Dinner for 2 that we had on the beach, snorkeling, wind sailing on one of the rafts, and the beauty that we were surrounded by. Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back in a heartbeat! (I can't leave out the fact that we had three amazing butlers that took care of our every request and continually made recommendations that would enhance our stay. Our Rolls Royce driver was amazing too!)

Very nice time, but room for improvement

Rakem8 (Jacksonville, Florida) on May 07, 2025

My wife and I just completed a 4 night club level stay to celebrate our anniversary. We both had a good time during our first experience at a Sandals resort and would certainly return, but there is some ro...om for improvement. First, the biggest compliment I can give is regarding the staff. Nearly everyone that we interacted with during our stay, from concierge, to shuttle drivers, to the aqua center and restaurant employees and even managers, was extremely friendly and helpful. Almost across the board, with only one or two minor exceptions, and considering the number of staff we interacted with, this was quite impressive. The property itself is beautiful and clean and the ocean is beyond gorgeous. Our room was very adequate, with our only complaints being that the mattress could have been more comfortable and our balcony was oddly lacking any sort of table. We also would point out that the “ocean view” description of our room was pretty misleading. Being on the second floor, our view of the pool and many palm trees was exceptional but the ocean? We could literally only see slivers of it through the trees. This was not a huge issue for us, but if you truly desire an ocean view, I would make sure you are on the third floor or higher. I would say our biggest disappointment was in regards to the inconsistency of the food quality. While we certainly had several great meals (dinners at Butch’s, La Plume and Queens Pearl, along with lunch at Arelia House and the pizza at Tesoro were highlights), we also had a few meals that were not very good (multiple lunches at Calicos were most notable). I would add, while neither of us are big drinkers, the few drinks that we did have were exceptional. Another issue we would point out was regarding the towels on the offshore island. Because of our short stay, we only got to visit once. Just before entering the line for the ferry transport, we attempted to grab a couple of beach towels from the main pool area to take with us (there were plenty available). A staff member asked if we were heading to the island and when we answered yes, he asked that we not take them and stated that there would be towels on the island for us to use. This wasn’t a problem until we got to the island and realized that there was, in fact, not a single towel available. And this was the case for about 3 hours until someone finally came around and replenished them. It made what would have been a really nice time on the island far less enjoyable. Particularly as cold as the ocean water is right now. It’s one reason we didn’t go back. Finally, as many have stated, there is a persistent problem with guests (or their butlers) placing towels or other items on beach and pool chairs and then literally being gone for hours while others that actually wanted to utilize them had to hunt and hope to find something, usually in a less preferable spot. All in all, we had a wonderful time and we could definitely see ourselves returning to this or other Sandals locations. Hopefully next time with a couple of the hiccups resolved.

Very Nice Vacation

Travelings00n (Nicholson, Pennsylvania) on May 06, 2025

My wife and I spent 5 nights here with another couple. We did not have Butler Service, but we did just fine. The food was good and at times very good. Loved the lamb and lobster at Butch's. We went t...o this restaurant twice. Also loved the local Conch dishes from the food truck (Coco Queen) for lunch. Lunch was just ok at the Aralia House and Kanoo. Also enjoyed some Sushi at Soy. Very nice experience there. We had one dinner and breakfast at La Plume and both were good. We did most of our breakfast meals at Kanoo. It was a buffet with a wide variety and cook to order omelette bar. Food was good here. We went to the island one day, and while it was less crowded, we decided it was a "one and done". The water was quite chilly in the pool and the ocean was similar. Aralia House food was just ok. We are in our mid 60's so we enjoyed the Quiet Pool and got lots of reading done, and the water temperature was refreshing. There was more action for the younger folks at the other pool. The drinks were good, but much more mixers than alcohol. Maybe that was a good thing! We stayed on the East side and that worked out well for us. The room was very nice with only a few minor issues that the staff took care of. My wife particularly enjoyed our room as it had lots of storage for our clothes, his and her sink areas, iron and ironing board, and plenty spacious overall. The beach was pretty but nothing spectacular for swimming. There were roped off sections. Some sea weed, but hard to avoid that. The water was beautiful colors of blue. Some entertainment was available, but we did not do too much. We loved the Piano bar that we hit on several nights. It got pretty lively with both some good and bad singing from the guests :>) Lastly, a shout out to the staff. Everyone was very friendly and personable. It seemed to come naturally and was not forced. Overall a very nice vacation.
