Desiree at the front desk did a "wonderful" job! She is definitely what is best about Marriott. She is caring, conscientious and is willing to provide the best service.

If you are considering this hotel, there are things you should know: first the pros: Very nice, spacious rooms with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. Well appointed with Keurig coffeemaker, microwave, fridge and safe Friendly, accommodating staff Water park great fun (the number of guests at any one time controlled by free reservation). Very quiet Magical lobby. There are some rooms that have the bunk beds in a separate room from the main room - you might request if you don’t want kids right next to you. If you are there on the weekend, request a room at the front of the hotel and you will have a front row seat on your balcony to the spectacular fireworks at the park. Cons: Though it is billed as being at entrance, it is a bit of a walk - probably 3/4 of a mile. With all of the walking you do at Disneyland (our Fit Bit said 10+ miles)that extra 1 1/2 miles is a lot, especially for the return or with young children. We did a VIP tour so had parking at park included with that but we were all commenting there was no way we would have walked back. Most of the plugs in the room didn’t work. The plugs wouldn’t even stay in the sockets. I had to charge my devices in the bathroom. For a business person who wanted to have a computer plugged in at the desk, it would have been more of a problem. Unacceptable for a $500 a night room. Only option is valet park - expensive. In my opinion, it is unacceptable (again with a $500 a night room) that there isn’t a free continental breakfast. Most better hotels offer either continental or full breakfast. The cafe in the lobby is expensive fast food and only so so. If possible, go to the Original Pancake House, (not far but you do need a car or Uber) for a really outstanding breakfast. Mimi’s Cafe, in front of the hotel, would probably be a better option, also. Hope this helps you decide. Overall, I would stay again.
