Dirty rooms. Dated. Maintenance awful and ignored. Service fees get you, be warned.

Dirty rooms, dated with furniture that doesn't fit properly. The carpet didn't even fit! Music from pool is crazy loud starting early and ending late. Floor vacuumed once in 3 weeks. Bedding changed once a... week. Sliding door to balcony didn't fit properly so pops out the other side. Hurricane Helene was a nightmare and told all rooms were booked (A lie as I looked online) so couldn't move us. We stayed in another hotel because the door didn't fit and the noise and wind was horrible. Balcony light like a disco, not working properly. Balcony door didn't lock. Easy to climb over from other balcony. Not that it mattered as the door is too small and you can pull it out of the other side. Always took several calls to get more towels over multiple days. Usually it meant a visit to reception. On the odd times the towels were collected, they didn't even give the floor a wipe over in the bathroom. We ended up getting stuff from Walmart to clean it. The rubbish wasn't collected so we would put it in the bins by the elevator. The TV didn't work properly as the signal kept going. I had to unclog the drain in the bath as water wouldn't go and call for maintenance went ignored. The plug seal for the bath had gone so maybe I should have left the drain clogged so the bath would fill! The safe didn't lock and again, promised it would be seen to but it was just ignored. Soap containers empty in the bathroom, not refilled in all the time we were there. Rusty fittings. So, $500+ service fee on top of the room fee. What exactly did I pay for? You can hardly call it a service! When speaking to reception they say they will try to sort things out but "Welcome to America" is if it is the norm! Amazing how there was never a manager there, only people covering and "The manager would get back to us". They never did. I've emailed several times and it has just been ignored, so putting it here as no chance of any refund after this long. I run my own mail server so know the message has reached their servers and it's the same email address I got previous replies from.

Great trip.

Daughter & I stayed with here for a band class trip. Rooms were clean, pool was nice, breakfast was great and had lots of choices daily. Friendly staff, too. Right across the street from Old Towne, and ...next to McD's. Very close to theme parks, too.

Clean hotel,room good, housekeeping came in everyday to replenish towels, and empty bins, pools clean, towels by side of pool, Laundry rooms on floors 3 and 6 need one on ground floor it's days coin opera...ted but it's card payment and uk cards don't work

Disclaimer: None of my comments refer to an individual or personnel (employee or staff). The review is purely for the property and the company/brand. We understand people who work here are putting in best ...efforts to a good job. However, the company that they are working for has lost its brand and taking guests for a ride (metaphorically). We thought we are getting a bang for the buck when we selected the Holiday Inn Vacation Club getaway deal which will host us in a holiday inn property for at least 3 nights (make your reservation for a discounted rate) and then attend a 2hr tour of a Holiday inn resort property after which you get a refund of about $250, almost what you paid originally. First, we were put up at this, probably the worst Holiday inn property I have been (I have travelled to remote parts in the country and yet I found some Motel 6s and Super 8s better than this property). I have no idea why a rate of $75/night is the discounted value. It is just not worth it. We could not get the king size bed we asked for and the room was much smaller than expected. Do not even ask about view -- there is none. The breakfast costs you $17 bucks ($15 if you pre-pay at the desk) -- definitely the worst breakfast we have had. I have no idea why everything seems to be overpriced and oversold. Never stay at this hotel -- your car even if broken down may be a better option or there are a tonne of motels and decent hotels that don't overcharge you like this right across and within a 2 mile radius. In fact, if not for the getaway deal we may have just moved to another (non Holiday inn) property nearby. Second, the getaway deal with Holiday inn vacation club. Never fall for these deais. I can only speak for Holiday inn based on our experience but in general it seems that the service industry is just not respectful of whom they serve -- of course, unless you are a VIP and pay the top $$. Because we checked in late they also cancelled our tour and never cared to inform us about the same. The hotel personnel also did not let us know and the personnel at the customer care acknowledged the hotel should have informed the vacation club office that we checked in and the tour can be reinstated. Upon 2 hours of dwelling in the phone call on the day of the tour when we are told ours is cancelled and that we have to deal with it calling customer care, we are being blamed for not informing them and that it is our fault that we were late to check in and hence things will automatically cancel. Instead of helping us with options we are being told there will be tours only next day which will force us to change our travel plans, thus. No one on the call (I spoke to 3 different agents) was ready to provide any solution instead kept repeating that it is our (guests) fault. When I asked to speak to the manager, they just forwarded it to the next agent and will never let me talk to a manager person. Never experienced this type of bad customer care. I have all the respect for people who work in customer care, but it seems that Holiday Inn does not care for the guests anymore. I am sure this may have been a one-off experience and many others may have had good experiences at holiday inn. This is purely our personal review of our experience and our decision not to pursue holiday inn anymore. People who make decisions after checking out reviews, hopefully, this comes across to you and helps you make an informed decision. NEVER HOLIDAY INN AGAIN! Be it for LEISURE or BUSINESS. WORST EXPERIENCE.

Basic but clean

Average, we traveled from England, United Kingdom here on our honeymoon! Close to Disney & fair priced, however rooms are outdated, there is noise all night from teens on the corridor or party’s, the shop ...is over priced & small. Transport to Disney ( at stupid times) so there’s no point staying here if you are looking for free transport, they make the times so bad that you won’t use it. On a positive, the place is clean, reception staff are nice and beds are comfy.
