Fabulous Family Vacation with Outstanding Service

We had a wonderful family vacation at Marival Emotions. From the moment we stepped into the resort, we were treated with excellent customer service. Karina Galavic, our concierge, made our experience extremely enjoyable. Her care for her customers & professionalism went above and beyond. The check-in and check-out was smooth and easy! We loved every minute of our time at Marival. The food was excellent, the grounds were immaculate and the service was outstanding. Thank you Karina and the Marival team, we cannot wait to come back!

This was a trip for vacation purposes with my family. As soon as we checked in even before we got our bracelets, we were transfered to an associate who wanted to sell us timeshare, at first we assumed that they were working together with the resort staff but after about 10 mins we figured out what it really was. I understand that there will be different colors of bracelets for a different type of service, but maybe someone should explain what that is and not just transfer you to a person who is trying to sell you something. During our entire stay we did not feel welcomed, I have been to different resorts in cancun, Riviera Maya, Dominican Republic, and by far this was a bad experience. When I would approach staff for them to explain what each color meant for the bracelets, they were not sure and they would all say to speak to people at check in, but the staff at check in would direct you to the associates trying to sell you timeshare.

Good Family Resort

The rooms were very clean and spacious. We had two bedrooms and three bathrooms. There was plenty of room for my husband and I and three teenagers. The mini refrigerator was not restocked, even when asked, after our first day. The room had a partial ocean view from the balcony, although not ocean front. The resort had a ton of activities for kids. We enjoyed the adult only pool but were surprised to find there wasn't a bar at the adult only pool. Only the family and kid pools had swim up bars. There were several restaurants with a variety of food; however, none of the food was amazing. Generally, the food was flavorless; however, presentation was always beautiful. We enjoyed the pizza/snack bar. They had nightly entertainment. The Mai Tai member only club service was exceptional and we would recommend it. The food and drink was upgraded there compared to other bars/restaurants. The resort was very clean. Staff were generally very friendly. The room decor could use a facelift.

Great family holiday experience

We had a very enjoyable vacation here with our young family. The younger ones really enjoyed the kids pool and the shows in the evening were great for them. We very much appreciated the extra care Karina provided us with from the time of our check-in to our check out! She really made our stay more special and stress-free!

Worse experience of my life

This place is the worse hotel I have ever been,eta start by checking in they told me my reservation is canceled and there's nothing they can do. I was here with 40 other family members we all had problems. Finally we talked to someone else and she was able to find my reservation, and the guy while told me it was cancelled was upset that they were able to find my reservation. This hotel was over sold and they were just coming up with excuses to cancel our reservation. Moving on I have. 3 month old and they put in the room on the highest floor with NOOOOO elevator and I went every day to complain and all they can say is they have no room. The hotel is very run down and staff super rude. If this hotel was in the US they would already been shut down. Do your self a favor Do Not Book here
