Young family focused/Needs some TLC

This is our 3rd stay at the Plaza Pelicanos. This time we stayed for 2 weeks. The resort is in a good location close to shopping and downtown. Over the years we have seen a decline in the condition of the resort (too many issues to mention). The resort is small, too small for the amount of people they host. The resort offers all-inclusive and pay as you go. The all-inclusive allows children under 12 for free. As a result, there are a lot of young kids. We have kids and grandchildren, so we love kids, but during our stay the kids outnumber adults 3 to 1. given the small pool space, it was not relaxing. The staff has always been a pleasure, especially the pool staff. They work very hard given the amount of people. This trip we found an OUTSTANDING! server (Manuel) that took care of us throughout our entire trip. He could not have been better. We have been visiting Mexico/PV for 38 years (visiting once or twice a year), so we have stayed at a number of resorts. Our visit at Plaza Pelicanos was ok, but I think we will try other locations in the future.

We love this place so much and have continued to return every few months! Staff is very friendly and make you feel like family. The rooms have been updated and we were very impressed with our suite. Highly recommend for the whole family or even as a romantic getaway.
