All in all we were quite happy!

Small resort but super easy to get to where you want to be! We had one server in general who went above and beyond for us! Room we had was older and walls were paper thin, would have liked one of the newer... rooms with a fridge. No mini fridge at all in our room. We were overlooking the main area so it was noisy at times but nothing crazy. Front desk staff were probably the biggest issue. They were very unfriendly like we were “bothering them” any time we went there. Often our key cards would not work and we’d have to go get that fixed and they were very put out by that! Check out was 11 but we didn’t fly out till 545pm . I was quite shocked to find out that didn’t matter and we no longer had use of the resort after 11!! So we had to go to the airport VERY early which was not fun! I’ve always been able to use the resort after checkout at any other resort! Technically the day was paid for being our last day ????? Food in the buffet was decent, as were the burgers stand, pizza hut and the chicken wing food truck! We would likely return to the resort as overall it was a good time!

We have stayed at the Pelicano Grand Beach Resort twice and we have loved it each time. It is like a diamond in the rough, it is big enough to have a resort feel yet not too big where you are just another ...tourist at an all-inclusive. Some of the employees even remembered us from our first visit. The drinks are good, the food is better than any other AI we have stayed at, including the Barcelo in PV (the food was garbage there). We are already planning our next stay there. We do part time at a regular hotel and then spend a few days at the end of our time in PV at the Pelicano. Last, we loved the view from our room! The Pelicano is tough to beat for the price, location, and all around experience. We highly recommend it.
