This place was booked through a travel agent as a gift for us. It was our first time in Mexico, and our expectations were not met. Our room was disappointing; it looked very old compared to the photos on t...he website. The tub leaked, the towel rack was broken, the beach was dirty, the food was just okay, the restaurant/pool bar hours were good, there were often birds pecking at the food which wasn’t comforting. It wasn’t a great first time in Mexico experience, but one thing I will say is it’s a nice place for families. There were many kids there for my daughter to play with, and the evening entertainment was nice. The Sky Bar is amazing! So there are some positives, but overall I was disappointed.

Disappointing. The rooms are in need of TLC and the beach was littered with cigarette butts. You will be sharing the buffet with birds pecking at the food and digging into the bread platters. Nice drinks,... wood fired pizza, and friendly staff; the Sky Bar Lounge is beautiful, it doesn’t fit with the rest of the resort.

We have stayed at the Pelicano Grand Beach Resort twice and we have loved it each time. It is like a diamond in the rough, it is big enough to have a resort feel yet not too big where you are just another ...tourist at an all-inclusive. Some of the employees even remembered us from our first visit. The drinks are good, the food is better than any other AI we have stayed at, including the Barcelo in PV (the food was garbage there). We are already planning our next stay there. We do part time at a regular hotel and then spend a few days at the end of our time in PV at the Pelicano. Last, we loved the view from our room! The Pelicano is tough to beat for the price, location, and all around experience. We highly recommend it.

Worst resort I have stayed at. Had money stolen from my room here. Once reported they inspected all my stuff just to let me know that it was my fault that I should not have left anything valuable in my lug...gage which I understand but also no one should be going inside my luggage’s whatsoever. Other than that the food was horrible here and found a cockroach in our room. Do not book here save your money.

Let’s start with the front desk staff. At check in never said “hello” “welcome” or anything. After check got sent to a conceige who explained resort restaurants and activities. Bellman was courteous and sh...owed us to our rooms. Rooms are horrible, run down, plugs didn’t work, electrical covers missing. Paper thin walls, room next door smoked all night, never got our patio door lock fixed after reporting it the first day. Several days we never had bath towels, only had bath mat two days, had to ask for hand towels and bath towels several times. Shower curtain was a foot off the ground so floor was always wet. The resort tried to charge us for a stained towel even before they washed it. BTW, the stain came out! Specially restaurant was just okay. Buffet was good, wait staff was great (Hector at breakfast, Cristina at dinner). Victor the beach waiter was fantastic. Wi-Fi is horrible, can only get it in the lobby. At check out they never ask how our stay was our if we enjoyed the resort. Won’t be staying here again.
