Amazing Property, Amazing People, Amazing Stay!

We just got back from a week long stay and definitely wished we could have stayed another couple of weeks! I am not easily impressed by all-inclusives, but this property blew my mind. First, and this may be a non-factor for some, but pretty much everywhere, indoors AND sometimes outdoors, smelled good. Second, the decor… the Koi ponds and bridges were beautiful, as were most of the aesthetics around the property. High ceilings, modern decor, comfy cute places to sit, the vibe was always right! Checking in was a breeze and the gentleman made sure we had everything we needed for our anniversary stay, this included assisting us in upgrading to The Reserve designation. If you stay here, and you are able to upgrade. DO. IT!! The Reserve ensures access to premium liquor, anyone that has done all-inclusives likely has an idea of how important this is. When I say premium, I mean premium. I am a Patron drinker, there was not a day in which I didn’t not have access to my favorite adult beverage. They actually have a really impressive line up of premium liquor that comes with The Reserve access. It also comes with your own concierge and access to dedicated lounges, restaurants and bars. The food was so good! Blue Agave, Sante, Lemon Fish, Fahrenheit and Capella became our favs. Sal’s was good, but I have honestly had better steaks. Hibachi, it was fun but a few of us did not feel great after eating there. The rest of those listed became staples that we really enjoyed (multiple times). The in room late night dining was also pretty good, although a couple of times things were forgotten. Our room was beautiful, with large tubs both indoors and outdoors, which was nice because the pools close a bit early. It was clean, modern and the bed was very comfortable. We had no issues with our room, ever. They were clearly remodeling rooms while we were there, but we only know that from seeing work being done, we rarely heard a peep. The pools were clean and enjoyable, they just close a bit early, as previously mentioned. With The Reserve access you also get to go to the spa, once a day, for hydrotherapy; we highly recommend. One day we had a couples massage with reflexology, followed by hydrotherapy… pure bliss. Night time entertainment was always lively and fun. Xcaret was crazy awesome and the family side also has great activities from what I hear; we spent much of our time on the adult only side. Employees that stood out: Our concierge, Eduardo, was phenomenal, the entire week. He had one day off, and his coverage also did really well. Ernesto, at Fahrenheit, was always so kind and attentive. He learned us quickly and each day he made us feel welcome and like family. Nelly, at the South Bar, she is a true gem. She was welcoming, learned us quickly too, and always made sure we were in a good space and had everything we needed. Rene, also at the South Bar, learned us quickly too and would dang near have our drinks up and ready each time he saw us walking that way. He was funny and always welcoming. We had a couple of staff members that didn’t align with most interactions, but we also witnessed some guests being really rude to staff, and treating them like servants instead of professionals, so I mean they could have just been worn down by continuously being patient with this type of negative behavior. Also, special note, the staff never asked for tips, or appeared as though they felt entitled to them. But when they received them they were always so grateful and went from being already pretty darn awesome to stellar, simply in gratitude. We were slated for a trip to Cancun later this year… but we’ve decided to head back to Paradisus La Perla instead!

The hotel’s beauty is accentuated by the stunning artwork displayed throughout the property, with special kudos to the talented Mexican artist Marcela López. Her creations add a unique and captivating touch to the already exquisite surroundings. Exceptional Service/Dining Highlights The service at Paradisus La Perla is unparalleled, with a team dedicated to making every moment memorable. At the Lemon Fish restaurant, Alejandro and all the waiters provided exceptional service, ensuring every meal was a delight. Special mention goes to Ivon, the manager of both Lemon Fish and Salt restaurants, whose attentive leadership is evident in the impeccable dining experiences. At the Tokimeku restaurant, Minerva provided excellent service, enhancing our dining experience with her attentiveness. At Salt restaurant, Roberto and Humberto took the time to explain each dish in detail, making our meals both educational and delicious. In The Reserve area, Yusmara was incredibly attentive, always ready with a freshly prepared coffee or a refreshing beverage, coupled with delightful conversation. Wine Tasting with Esther One of the highlights of our stay was the wine tasting session with Esther, the sommelier. Her extensive knowledge of Mexican wines and her charming personality made this an unforgettable experience. If you visit, a wine tasting with Esther is a must-do. Culinary Excellence The culinary experience at Paradisus La Perla exceeded our expectations, thanks to the young and talented Chef Jeimy Galupila. Her creativity and attention to detail in every dish were remarkable, making each meal a gastronomic delight. Privileges as Melia members As Melia Red members, we enjoyed a range of exclusive privileges that truly enhanced our stay. The extensive wine list offered a fantastic selection of wines, and we were treated to extra dishes at each restaurant, adding to our culinary adventure. The thoughtful gifts, including a stylish beach bag and a sun hat, were delightful touches that made us feel special. One of the standout experiences was the Circle member night, featuring a lively mariachi band and an impressive presentation by a Maya group. The evening was filled with excellent food and impeccable attention from the staff, making it a memorable highlight of our stay. Kudos to Amalia in Circle member services. She was always ready to assist, making sure all our needs were met. Pool/Beach Staff Christopher at the pool and beach area always greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service, ensuring our relaxation was top-notch. Lorenzo at the Reserve pool bar made sure our time by the pool was enjoyable, serving drinks with a smile. Culinary Excellence The culinary experience at Paradisus La Perla exceeded our expectations, thanks to the young and talented Chef Jeimy Galupila. Her creativity and attention to detail in every dish were remarkable, making each meal a gastronomic delight. In conclusion, Paradisus La Perla (The Reserve) offers a perfect blend of beauty, art, and exceptional service.
