First Visit to Beaches T&C

russj2020 (Fallon, Nevada) on Dec 14, 2024

Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to Beaches and Turks & Caicos Islands. My wife and I shared a Carribean Village room in the East Wing with our teenage son and his buddy. It was a great location, close to the pools, the beach, the water park and the basketball court. The room was spacious enough for the minimal time we spent in it. Housekeeping always kept it clean for us twice a day. The beach and the pools were never too crowded; always loungers and towels available. My wife liked the water aerobics classes and I thought the gym was above average, except there are no spin bikes. Great outdoor space for yoga, stretching, plyo, etc. Our boys (15 & 17) spent most of the time at the ocean, but did like the water park for breaks. We had the best time on excursions off the resort - snorkeling with Iguana Island tour, clear kayak tour to see sharks and turtles, and parasailing. We realized that unlike Jamaica, you don't have to stay on resort to feel safe. The only average part of our stay was the food. None of the restaurants wowed us, but none were terrible. No significant waiting and the staff was always friendly. The most friendly staff were those from Jamaica. Our son wants to try Beaches Negril next. We love the Sandals/Beaches brand, but if we go back to T&C, we'll likely strike out on our own.

Beaches Turks and cacio

Diane W (St. Augustine, Florida) on Dec 11, 2024

I have to say I was a bit disappointed in our stay. The Barner room was not a real bar. It was only from the choices that they chose for us, and even though my husband doesn’t drink those we asked for something he does drink and they said it would cost $65. That was very disappointing. They said we could get the drinks at the bar but that’s different than having it in your room. Also, the workers there worked very hard to please. Most of them are very friendly and it says in both letters no tipping which means all the money that beaches cost goes to them the owners and not their employees that was disappointing. I think the employees work very hard and we tipped anyway, even thoughthey said they shouldn’t accept them. The water was beautiful there the resort is beautiful. We were just disappointed as I said in my review we won’t be going back again.

Italian Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos

Italian Village is the place to stay at Beaches. We have been in Caribbean and French. Italian is central to everything with great views. Loved the staff. As always, super friendly and helpful. Big shoutout to Bobby D’s. Service was quick and friendly!!!

Kudos to Lavar at Turtles Bar

Moosjoos (Jamaica) on Dec 10, 2024

I’m here for work so it would be unfair (and biased) to post a review of the overall property BUT I do believe it’s acceptable to acknowledge excellence when it’s deserved. I’ve discovered a new drink and want to acknowledge the incredibly knowledgeable bar tender, who crafted it to perfection and served it in such a warm and inviting environment. Lavar at the Turtles Bar at Beaches Turks and Caicos made me THE best skinny tequila mojito (Teremana Blanco, muddled limes, a few sprigs of mint plus soda water - NO simple syrup) I’ve ever had. This has been my drink of choice lately and Lavar has perfected the cocktail. But you know what… the way I see him craft everyone’s special request is, without doubt, done with the most passion and pride I’ve ever witnessed from a bartender in the Caribbean.

The best Caribbean Island

alteliom on Dec 10, 2024

I've visited dozens of Bahamian and Caribbean islands, but The Turks is by far the best. The layout of the island is convenient and conducive for unbelievable relaxation. We arrived via cruise ship and unlike other islands, we were not met with intrusive and aggressive excursion or market sellers. If that's the route you opt to take, then those options are definitely available. Now, if you're looking for peace, relaxation, tranquility and beautiful uninterrupted tropical scenery, then The Turks is your destination. We found the perfect beach spot less than 100 yards from our ship. Equipped with lounge chairs, palms, a white sandy beach that transitions into finely thin seashells that messages your feet as you sink down. The best drinks and island food is about 30 feet away and the hassel of someone protruding in your lounge space hassling you to buy a expensive souvenir cup with a watered down drink is nonexistent. There was zero pressure!! When we were ready to eat and drink, I walked 30 feet, purchased our pineapple mix and cracked conch and came back to our area of tranquility. Did I mention that the weather was perfect? Well it was. I can't say enough about The Turks, so if you're looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place to be. See pics
