Food was the best I ever experienced in Varadero, the suites were very roomy and comfortable. The beach was very nice. And the drinks were always cold. The staff at the resort are the best and will continue to use to be one of the biggest reasons I go. Mercedes and Rosie and Lacey always made sure I had a drink when needed. May-bell makes the best coffee in Cuba. Lisbeth and Paul always go above and beyond to make sure my stay is the best it can be. The 3 rounds of golf that are included is also a great perk that you don’t receive at other resorts. As long as i am able los cactus will be my home away from home.

Had a great 9 days. Great people and friends. Been to this hotel many many times and always have a great time. Grounds were in excellent shape. Looked as if there was fresh paint being applied to the buildings. The beach is one of the best features. It was well maintained with lots of loungers available. Just a great time. Will definitely be returning to this hotel!!!!!!

Really nice hotel with friendly personel. It really feels like a second home when I stay there. Would suggest anyone to go to Los Cactus! The resort has a private beach and many bars where you can enjoy freshly made drinks and snacks! There is entertainment every night and much more to explore.

With all the shortages in Cuba, you can’t expect much for food or drinks. Considering that, I didn’t starve, always found something to eat and went off the resort twice to eat. They only had beer and rum, no vodka. Room was very nice and spacious. Beach was fantastic except for the windy days which is Mother Nature’s fault, not the resort. Entertainment and animation people were great. Yoan was always dancing and trying to get people up to dance and teach them, no matter how bad they were. It was lots of fun. We saw 2 really good dance groups at the nightly shows. Staff and service were amazing. Wifi worked in the lobby and by the pool, it would work on the sidewalk in front of my room, but not in the room, or at the beach. Getting towels was an issue for the first 2 days. I suggest you dry your beach towel on the balcony because they might not be able to exchange it the next day. It was approximately a 25-30 minute walk to Calle 62 from the resort or a short cab ride. Cabs were always readily available and were usually $10USD or $15CAD to go to the Calle 62 area. I would definitely return.

We have been here since Friday and we are very impressed with hotel service. The gardens and beach are wonderful but the best is the staff. Everybody is kind and friendly, they make you feel at home. We had a wonderful dinner in the Cuban restaurant, thanks to Yanelis. We also enjoy Mabel coffees, the lovely bar with the jacuzzi where Yeni made delicious piña colada and the lovely cocktails that Mercedes and Leisy prepared at the Lobby Bar. We will come back cause the price is good and the staff amazing.
