One of the best resorts I have been to. Pretty new rooms with a beautiful ocean view. Wonderful staff, especially Roberto, Mercedes, Daylet and Marco the GM, who is very approachable and attentive. very important: location. Just 5 minutes from Varadero, easy and cheap by cab. Several nightlife options, which is essential because no one wants to go to bed at 11pm on vacation.

The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Food is especially good at Sol Palmeras . Travelled different regions of Cuba and sol palmeras is the best by far food wise. Although it’s an older hotel some rooms are renovated and hotel is very clean. Stayed at this resort more than once and was treated to a special dinner that Maria from customer service planned. Delicious lobster and wine. Waiter waitresses bartenders are all super kind and eager to please. Every hotel must have a “Dyana “ a customer representative at Sol Palmeras . In short she’s just amazing from her friendly smile down to the great service she provides. You won’t regret staying st this resort.

The bed was very comfortable and overall I was very comfortable here. I did have to ask for clean linens, but the people working here are very kind and friendly and willing to help make your stay pleasant. The food was great--lots of variety. The beach was excellent. Julia Elena at the front desk was extremely friendly. Overall, I would visit this resort again.

Had a great time! Played volleyball and games in the pool, and Aldo Santamaria was particularly great at getting us involved, as well as all the other entertainment staff and bar staff. Beach was lovely. It had good evening entertainment too - the noise could be heard in the rooms though

For me, the Melia Varadero hotel was the best option I made on this trip. Everything was perfect. At the Level, Roly greeted me, very attentive and very friendly, the Las Palmas bar was wonderful, the guys make you laugh and prepare the best drinks for you, thanks to the guajira, Adrian and the other guys, Julia is the girl who makes restaurant reservations, She is the most friendly and enthusiastic and solves everything for you. The buffet was where I ate most of the time, very good variety of food and very good service.
