Great Place to Chill

A great play to just “kotch” or “just hang”. A sold 3.5 star resort that is clean, friendly and in a need of some tlc (which you can see happening as walls are being painted as I type). Bar choices can be... limited, food has some Jamaican standbys as well as typical pasta, chicken burgers for folk less willing to try cow foot. Beach is beautiful, great snorkeling. I brought water shoes, but haven’t used them. Ask for a blanket if you are so inclined. Rooms are cool and there is only a sheet. Problems are solved with a smile (and every $ is appreciated). Go with the mindset you want to just chill and you will enjoy yourself. If you want to be pampered and have every need met, this may not be your tropical oasis.

Airport transfer very good, short drive to the hotel. Check in was a welcoming experience, was fairly quick and easy followed by a welcoming drink. Room was clean, bed firm, pillows good, no blanket. (Ask... for a blanket) View was awsome ?? We were there 7 days, spent 95% of daytime on the beach, very little time around pool. Must get up early, walk to beach and put towels on chairs you wish to reserve. (No problems) No hassle with people selling wares on the beach, just the odd sale of mj. "Love the ocean", you will too. Food was maybe a notch above average, some days better than others. Drinks were plentiful, especially rum drinks, save the Tequila for Mexico. Some good rum drinks to be had here. Beer limited to Red Stripe, some days they ran out. (Another reason to try the different rums) Staff were mostly all friendly with smiles, some were beginners, but they do learn fast. Tipping is recommended, especially for good service. I would definitely stay here again.
