Another lovely stay at Beach Palace.. see you after the renovations!

Massive apologies for the delay in this review but we have had a very chaotic time on our return home so have only just had the time to put down my honest thoughts and opinions without the need for rush in... our latest stay at the Beach palace. We arrived on the 21st April and stayed for two weeks. Having stayed here before with perhaps not the best experience my expectations werent of the highest as they usually are with Sun palace. But as a family we do love this hotel. Many reviews suggest it’s in desperate need of renovation, which I strongly agree with. Visually I just wouldn’t at the moment place this resort in particular out of the rest under a 5* category, in saying that the service makes up for everything else this hotel may temporarily be lacking. I MUST start with Jorge, the pool wait staff. WOW. His service was exactly what I would call 5*. All of the pool staff to their credit work very hard given the conditions of the heat they work under, but Jorge really stood out for me, and let me explain why. We had problems when we arrived which meant we could only use our money via our cards and was unable to withdraw cash which meant very unfortunately we were not able to tip the staff for their efforts and felt incredibly bad about this. In some staff I have to say I could feel the difference and level of service drop when they knew they were not getting tipped from us. I didn’t complain. But Jorge never changed his service or attentiveness. On one occasion when I thanked him yet again for bringing me our drinks he told me and I quote “it’s a pleasure miss, it’s my job to be here to serve, pamper you and make you feel happy and relaxed” Well he certainly did this every morning and afternoon whenever we met. He always welcomed us with a smile, had my favourite blue Hawaiian at the ready and never without a smile. An absolute credit to your hotel. We hope to cross paths again Jorge. Gabriella, each morning with a “good morning baby, the usual?” Made me feel special. Her eggs Benedict are something I would start my morning off with without fail, and she would never keep me waiting, always bring to my table no matter how busy she was. I miss your morning eggs Gabriella! And I know you never expected it as most of your hardworking staff doesn’t, but I hope this review reaches you and gives you an explanation as to why we didn’t have any cash to show our gratitude to you. We will remember you next time on our return and will have something to throw in that wonderful hat of yours :) Michelle, the pool entertainment staff, I really hope I remembered your name correctly. Thank you for always smiling and being friendly with our family. I know it’s part of your job, but please believe me from experience of my many visits to this hotel the ones that really mean their kindness shows, and yours did. Emiliano loved to see your happy face every morning, even on those ones when he was usually crying! Haha. We hope to see you on our return one day, and wish you all the best until then, again, another credit to Palace resorts. We had an amazing spa session, a couples massage and I had a collagen face treatment. Both ladies were wonderful, polite, smiling and created such a peaceful atmosphere for us. And wow what a massage, not only did I fall asleep but I’m pretty sure I was snoring! So as a busy mum of three I thank you. I am beyond sorry that I cannot remember your names, only but one. Janet, Janet worked alongside a colleague who I really hope you can find out the name of because they both are also credits to this hotel. I hope it’s easy to find the name when I leave my details at the end. And finally, an exceptional meal in Gondola. Made not only by the food, but by the gesture of a manager who I cannot remember the name of, Oscar I think. Our toddler loved the meatballs from The upstairs restaurant Tavola, and the manager on duty at the time working in gondola made it possible for them to bring him down a plate. This made me really happy! As it was our last meal here. The date would have been the 3rd of May, again I hope you can track down the manager on duty in the evening for us to once again thank him! Germán… I’m so sure this was your name. My final thank you to this wonderful waiter who went above and beyond to make my evening special. I promised him to leave him a well deserved gratitude at the front desk, but again my sincere apologies that we had so much trouble trying to get cash. I won’t forget you on our next visit and I truly hope to see you again then. We enjoyed our stay at the beach palace, my only con really would be the level of service received in the smokehouse, not only was it very very slow, but there was quite a lot of mistakes made on the two occasions we ate here which actually left some of us without the food we had ordered. Not a good experience at all sadly. It would also have been nice to be able to order mixed drinks, and the wine in enjoyed to our room. I had to always go down to drink this. Which was a shame I was unable to do so in the comfort of our room. We are looking forward to visiting again after the renovations, and hope to see the staff that I have mentioned above. Very Disappointing "All-Inclusive" Experience – Not Worth the Cost I recently stayed at Beach Palace with my family and felt extremely let down by the overall experience. I paid for this trip personally, ...and while the amount may be immaterial to a large resort, it certainly wasn't for me. I expected a relaxing vacation with quality service, as promised by their “all-inclusive” advertising. Unfortunately, what we received was far from acceptable. The most frustrating issue was the in-room dining. Meals were frequently delivered cold, overcooked, or just unappetizing. For a resort that promotes itself as high-end and all-inclusive, this level of food quality and service was simply unacceptable. It felt like the bare minimum effort was put into something that should have enhanced our stay. Given the premium we paid, the service and overall hospitality fell short in many areas. What should have been a memorable, enjoyable getaway turned into an experience filled with disappointment and regret. I will not be staying at any Beach Palace properties in the future, and I strongly urge management to take this feedback seriously. Guests deserve better for the money they’re spending. I’m sharing this review in the hope that others will consider their options more carefully before booking.
