Mixed Bag at an old resort

First, this resort is closing for a full remodel in August 2025. So the resorts in many areas look old, outdated, or in disrepair. In our Suite, the Shower door never closed fully and one of the handle...s on the patio was broken. The pillows are small and kind of crappy. Bed was soft and felt like it is due to be replaced. All the towels we got seemed old. Now on the good side, everyone is very friendly who work there. As for the beach, we had the middle level chairs with pillows that where stained and looked like they had been there a long time. Wondering why there are tiers on the beach? Well it is part of the Timeshare program for palace resorts. In general you would not know till you try to chair on the beach. What other benefits a member gets seems not worth while. They give you resort credits which at best are ok. Just don't try to use them in the store where you are severely limited as to what you can buy and as a discount on tours (YMMV on the value). The food was generally actually pretty great. One of two not great items. Of special standout, everything I had was the sweet shop (candy, ice cream, crepes, and a couple of sandwiches)
If you want to feel like a king go to Beach Palace. Great hotel, great food, fantastic animators and excellent service.

We stayed for 9 nights at the hotel, and it was fantastic. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the staff was very friendly. We were on the 10th floor with a view of the lagoon, and we ...were very satisfied. The waitstaff was very attentive, everything was clean, and we truly have nothing but praise for Beach Palace. We will definitely come back.
