Lovely smaller Oceanfront Resort

2nd time to this Resort! Met Patty at check in desk.Always a smile to greet guests and very helpful during our stay.Caught up with friends we met last year from Minnesota having their annual stay with oth...ers! We stayed for 9 nights, comfy king bed and great view of the ocean! Really like the smaller resort feel. (247 rooms).Pools had comfortable water temperature but lack cushions on the loungers.Fun daily watching the surfers.Met up with favorite beach vendors for silver (Leonardo)& bead jewelry(Lupita). Paloma’s Restuarant was great for breakfast buffets and Isabela made up our yummy special order omelettes. Enriquez and Adrian were right there with coffee or mimosas! Palapa pool bar Richardo and Juan were great servers offering daily happy hour specials! Cilantro’s Restaurant was nice for outdoor lunches and dinner inside with a great bar. Wonderful friendly service by Isai,Luis and Pedro! Water aerobics, cards, daily bingo was fun with Charles! We will definitely return next year! Gracias Sharon & Doug

We enjoyed our time at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán! The atmosphere is happy and chill with a variety of mostly mature guests and some young families. Poolside bevs, and culinary delights including tacos, cevich...e and nachos delivered by energetic Antonio kept us happy while we read, rested and chatted! Food and service in the on-property restaurants was great! Hotel Bonito offers clean and comfy rooms with beautiful ocean views! This vacation with friends was perfect!

Family of 4, 2 boys, 13/16. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic. We really appreciated the non-buffet options. The rooms were clean and spacious. Every room has an amazing ocean view. The w...eather was a little chilly so the warm pool was perfect. We loved how close the resort is to shopping and restaurants. We used Uber and Pulmonias to yo to the Golden Zone, the Malecon and old town. We felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend this resort.
Definitely a "pretty town"

Friendly staff, beautiful resort, amazing food. We have nothing but good things to say about our week at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan Beach Resort. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the food w...as just so good. Every restaurant, every meal was excellent. Special shout out to Armando and Jesus at the Pescados restaurant/ pool bar who were so kind, always kept a drink in our hands, and helped me with my weak Spanish, as well as Pedro at Cilantros Restaurant/ bar who makes the best mojito. If we ever have the opportunity to come back we will. Gracias por todo Pueblo Bonito!
The honest pros and cons

Let’s start with the awesome… Amazing service here. The people that work here treat you like family. They all seem happy and they really made our week. Great location in mazatlan, quick ride from the airpo...rt as well. Balcony faced the ocean, view was excellent. Beach was nice and clean. The pools were pristine. No lack of lounge chairs, we never had to race down at the crack of dawn to ensure we got one. We took our time! Food was very good, particularly the Italian restaurant. Air con worked well. Lots of hot water and pressure was good. The not so goods: WORST BED I’ve EVER slept on in my life. And I’ve stayed in some real cruddy no-tell motels in my life. It was like sleeping on a metal grid with a sheet over it. I ended up sleeping on the couch, sadly it was better but not by much. It was so bad I actually have bruises on my hips. For this reason alone I wouldn’t return. The room really needed a deep down cleaning as well as some items needed straight up replacing. There was dirt in the corners, the closet floor was filthy. The mirror looked like it should’ve been replaced 20 years ago. This resort says rooms have kitchenettes, but they don’t. Rooms don’t even have a bar fridge with basic drink service. This is ridiculous to me, it’s a very basic service on these types of vacations. I was able to get a mini fridge delivered to the room to at least keep water bottles cold. There is an 80 peso delivery charge for room service. It’s ridiculous to be nickel and dimed when you pay for an all inclusive vacation. Service was fast and food was hot though. Don’t like the towel deal though, sometimes one extra towel is just needed!
