Had a Great Stay

stevemaz71 on Mar 28, 2025

First time staying here and honestly my only complaints are very minor versus what you got for your money. Stayed from the 15-20 of March. Had a two queen room on the 7th floor facing the ocean with a pati...o. Amazing views. The room was serviced everyday. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom a little small but not a big deal. The pools were both excellent. The issue as all resorts have are the morons that wake up early to go save spots even though they may never use them or don’t show up until after 11am. I wish resorts would start cracking down on this BS. The restaurants were all good including the buffet. Seaside Grill was good. The steak house at the golf course was exceptional. Pay the up charge to try it out. Just bring bug spray. Lots of mosquitos. My minor complaint is order new shuffleboard sticks and bean bags for corn hole. It can’t be that expensive to replace. Small dollars invested have great returns with all the families playing.

Disappointing.

Linda W (Niagara Falls, Canada) on Mar 28, 2025

This was my 30th trip to Jamaica, having been to many resorts all over the island. I am always sad to leave Jamaica but this was the second time only that I was really happy to be leaving this resort. T...he food is very repetitious, and even if you get there when first opens, the food is luke warm at best except for the Breakfast cook making you fresh omelets. We did make it to the Italian restaurant which was better and the Asian one which was OK but a lot of things on menu were not available. You have to line up by 5:30 if you want a seat. Disappointing fresh fruit, hit and miss for ripe, sweet fruit, mostly anemic looking and tasteless. Room was ok, air conditioner really noisy, bed very hard and strange pillows. We were on second floor so had hot water, our friends were on 7th and most of time had a "trickle" of luke warm or cold water. We had our bed made 3 times out of 10 days and finally on day 4 got clean towels at 5:15 pm. There were so, so many kids. I did not get in pool for first 5 days due to the amount of kids in pool playing all sorts of games. It was remarkable to me at number of parents who just let kids run wild with no supervision, there was about 12 kids who played football where we were dining, running between tables at times, people got hit with footballs, soccer balls, beach balls, with no intervention from parents except on one occasion a father stepped in. Lifeguards at pool spoke to some kids who totally ignored them. Entertainment was disappointing. The steel band was great and circus show OK but otherwise not impressed. Bar - they often would not have certain ingredients to make your favorite drink and what place does not have Tia Maria when it is made in Jamaica! Watch your room bill - our friends had a huge amount added for using "premium" internet when all they used was the wi-fi code given at check-in. We were given a $100 credit on check in to be used anywhere on resort, but at checkout they added charges from purchase at gift store and ignored the credit. Manager helped us fix that. The majority of the staff were the saving grace for this place. I heard some talk of this place possibly being sold.
