Beware if you are booking this vs. the other resorts nearby for the dinner restaurant reservations as you will be lucky if you get a 9:30pm reservation if any, they can also cancel your reservation anytime... and not provide any compensation. The group of Bahia Principe resorts here had 3 fires in 8 years which is concerning. All other guests affected at other resorts were upgraded to new rooms at Akumal and allowed to eat at the Akumal buffet for all meals which caused 30 minute to 1 hour lineups for meals as basically guests from 2 resorts were sharing the same facilities. Guest services including managers will do absolutely nothing. Better to buy at a lower priced resort and save your money as this was not a luxury or 5 star resort experience.

The place was beautiful even though parts of it was under construction. The food and service was amazing. No complaints at all. Gest services wad more helpful than words can tell. The pools, bars and ...entertainment was 100%. The rooms were new and beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Shower was spacious. The lobby was grand and marvelous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely go back.
