Our recent stay at the Barcelo Maya Caribe was wonderful, largely thanks to the exceptional service we received. A particular highlight was our experience at the buffet. We dined there daily, and were fort...unate to have the same server each time, Darinel Gomez. His warm welcomes, attentiveness, and the fact that he always ensured our drinks were refilled, made every visit a pleasure. He truly went above and beyond! Unfortunately, we did have a minor medical incident during our trip and had to call the resort doctor. While this was an unexpected event, we were incredibly impressed that the hotel staff followed up with a call to our room later to check on our well-being. This thoughtful gesture truly demonstrated their care for their guests. Beyond this, the resort iteself is beautiful, well maintained, with fantastic amenities. However, it was the consistently excellent and genuinely caring service, (especially from Darinel), that made our stay so memorable. We highly recommend the Barcelo Maya Caribe!

I’m a 70-year-old father who recently stayed with my family at Barcelo Maya Caribbean in Riviera Maya, hoping for a peaceful and enjoyable vacation. Sadly, it turned out to be a very disappointing experien...ce. One afternoon by the pool, some teenagers approached me offering drugs, something I never expected to encounter at a family-friendly resort. Naturally, I reported the incident to management, hoping they would take action, but both Carlos Lopez and Edwin Wong were shockingly dismissive. They told me they weren’t responsible for what other guests do and showed no concern or professionalism. To make matters worse, loud partying by the pool every night until around 6 a.m. made it impossible for any of us to get proper rest. The noise, combined with the rude and unhelpful attitude from the managers, ruined what should have been a special time with my loved ones. We left feeling exhausted and let down. I truly hope the hotel takes these issues more seriously in the future.

We love Barceló! We have been going to this resort for last 15 years, sometime 2 times a year. The staff is wonderful, especially Liliana Martinez and Saylor and Carlos in Captain Morgan, Juliana and Gilbe...rt in the buffet and many others. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Acres of swimming pools. Long, white sand beach ….great snorkeling with turtles.
