Great location with a lot of beach access. The property is really nice and well maintained for the most part. The Caribe rooms could use some updating. Hotel staff customer service is inconsistent. Most disappointing was the Caribe buffet and pool bar. Subpar food and terrible service. However we did enjoy service when we ventured to other locations on the resort. We will not return nor will we ever visit a Barcelo. Much better options out there.

This was our second time at this location and loved it even more! Premiere upgrade really was worth it. Express check in, champaign and desserts delivered to room upon arrival, great rooms with views and top shelf alcohol. Buffets are typical, but the restaurants are really good. Our favorite was Tokyo with amazing food and entertainment with hibachi. Sante Fe Steakhouse and Italian place also had great food and service. Would like to call out exceptional service by Darinel Gomez at Caribe Buffet and Leonora at the pool. We really only had a few things that wish could have been better. The pool was really cold. With temps dipping low at night, I wish they turned the heat on because some days were just too cold to be in it. Also, the entertainment by the pool could step it up. One day they tried to play bingo by the pool but since they wouldn't let anyone play while sitting in the loungers no one played. She told me we had to be sitting at the bar if we wanted to play. The rest of week I didn't see anyone trying to engage at the pool other than to exercise (to be transparent, we did spend a lot of time at the beach though). Planning to go back again next year. We love having the extra resorts to use as well so there is always something to do for everyone in my family.

Overall this place is about a 3star place at most. Runs are run down. All the room need a major renovation. Food at all buffets in mediocore at best. Even the restaurants you have to make reservations for are the same crappy food. This place is very cruise ship like. and not a nice cruise ship. I only stayed here because it was the only option for the event was attending. Save you money and go else where.

This is my 2nd time here. Love the facility. Dinners are awesome. The buffet food could be warmer temperature. Amazing place. See you in 2025
