Maria Perez was an amazing waiter and she helped me so much and was so nice and helpful. She made sure we were taken care of and no matter made sure we were having an amazing time. I am very appreciated of... her and her helpfulness. She is an amazing women and please continue to have her serving others. Wonderful person and couldn’t ask for a waiter.

May 17-21 2025 stay at Barcelo maya palace. My friend got food poisoning & was served a broken beer glass which cut her.

Received food poisoning from the coral grill, rooms have paper thin walls and floors so you can hear every step of the upstairs neighbour and any furniture, and any doors they close. Your entrance door doe...sn't block any steps or conversations happening outside. I know the Palace resort isn't adult only, but there was no enforcement on kids screaming or splashing or rowdy drunks yelling and clapping at the bar for the whole pool area to hear. It is a very beautiful resort if you bother to walk it all, and the service staff are truly fantastic. Rooms were good with some things broken (TV, soap pumps) but kept very clean. All of the resort itself was kept very clean and tidy. Theatre entertainment was...alright. Live music performance in the lobby bar was excellent but again got drowned out by loud mouth drunks who received either no warning, or no repercussions.

Bad room bad odor under bed

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to bring to your attention an issue we recently experienced during our stay at your this resort. Our original room had a very unpleasant odor, which smelled as ...if something had died under the bed. This was quite concerning, and it took several calls and the cleaning service coming to our room before any action was taken. Unfortunately, it wasn't until 11:30pm that a decision was made to move us to a different room. As you can imagine, this was quite inconvenient and disrupted our plans for the evening. Given that we spend a significant amount per night to stay at your hotel, it was disappointing to spend most of the day trying to resolve this issue. I would kindly suggest that rooms be checked out more thoroughly before guests arrive to avoid such situations in the future. Ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience for your guests is paramount, and I believe this small change could make a big difference.
