Disorganized and Chaotic Experience & Run-Down Rooms & Amenities

The check in process was awful. Arrived at hotel for 3pm reservation (after long day of travel). We were told the room wasn’t ready, but would be by 3:30. 6pm came and went with no communication (despit...e repeatedly checking in at front desk). Had to basically threaten to leave until we were given a room. The property itself (we stayed at The Grand) is run down and dated. 3 star caliber (at best).
Not family friendly - I fear for my safety

I do not feel safe! My family, a group of 10, and I arrived at Moon Palace last night. We are staying at Sunrise. So far the our experience has been absolutely terrible. This is not a family friendly r...esort. They are 100% devoted to selling upgrades to everyone and do not care to provide the basic necessities. Our family was split up with two rooms next to each other and my room (1 adult 3 minors under the age of 7) placed all the way at the golf course, about 2km away. They did not care about the fact that I have been isolated from the rest of the family. Then, no one was taking us to our room. They expected me to go find the room at 9pm at night, by myself with my 3 kids and a stroller, so far away from the lobby. Every other resort I've been to has a bellhop take you to your room and show you the room, anything on the way and tips about the resort. After going to them in tears, someone finally took me on the golf cart. Once he started to help, he was great. The rooms are tiny. Bathrooms are so small. In my room, the shower wasn't draining, so my kids couldn't shower. The telephone doesn't work, so I couldn't call for help. We ordered room service on the app. I requested dishes be picked up and they said I can put it outside. This morning, my entire front door was filthy. Animals had ravaged the plates and smeared food everywhere. This morning I requested a change in room, given the distance from my parents and brother and i feel unsafe as the path to the golf course is dark at night. The manager would not budge. They wanted me to pay for the rooms. They do not care about customer safety. Profits are the biggest priority.
