Resort great, staff amazing, few niggles

For context, I have been lucky enough to go to Mexico 5 times now and also the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana too so can make some reasonable comparisons. Travelled 22nd may - 5th June as a party of 7. Vil...la 4301 Location : About an hour from Cancun airport, right on the beach, no issues. Resort : Beautiful, well kept, very large as you navigate the 3/4 hotels. restaurants and facilities are spread amongst them so you generally need the golf carts to take you round but they are constant so no issues to grab one. Facilities: Gym, excellent, great equipment, just wish the water they provided was cold. Tennis courts, squash, basketball all great, decent football pitches. Pools, large, very warm though albeit not sure what they do about that ! Swim up bar wasn't open when we arrived as roof was being redone, but open in within a few days. Waiter service round the pools very good and the staff great. Food: This is the key aspect, the a la cartes were generally very good, if you are a meat eater you will love the rodizio and the steak houses. a la cartes were great, buffet was very repetitive, practically same stuff afternoon and evening and too much standing around waiting for one man to cook stir fry or a piece of steak, very little fish aside from squid. If you only went to the buffet you would get quite bored. In a morning, one person cooking omelettes and took forever. Staff : generally the waiter and bar staff are amazing , very attentive and always keen to help. The reception staff not so great, when they get something wrong they never apologise and after a handful of issues, sometimes that's all you need! Beach : Shocking, but not sure what they do, the seaweed issue at this time of the year gets bad but every day it got worse and by the time i left 5th June it was piled high all over the beach so you can't really go on the beach or in the sea. Shame but been like this years now. Issues: So the main issue is generally small niggles that accumulated and repeated just get pretty annoying: Room cleaning, sometimes really good,sometimes literally bed made. One day it was amazing, all of our shoes, bags glasses had been neatly ordered, brilliant (were not the tidiest) Halfway through the holiday my wife when drying her hair, a condom wrapper flew from under the bed, it didn't belong to either of us!! how long had that been there. We had 3 power cuts in our room, safe kept tripping so stopped working, room keys being cancelled three times. Towels, sometimes one left, sometimes four. when we arrived, no iron, team/coffee machine, ironing board, had to request three times and took 5 days to get them. These issues are not the end of the world and would not deter me, but accumulated, they are annoying and i don't want to have to keep going to reception on my holiday. Overall a 4 star review as the staff, grounds etc amazing and the food pretty good.

Came to Mexico to celebrate. The room lacked a bin and dressing gown. The beach is full of seaweed and not accessible
