Barcelo Maya Palace was amazing. We had the best time with our 9 year old daughter. So much to do you don’t even have to leave the resort. With the palace booking you have access to the 4 other resorts in the complex but not the adults only Barcelo Riviera. I would recommend anyone to go here. TURTLES— We got to feed about 11 turtles it was honestly the highlight of our trip. It was absolutely amazing Take full banana to the Mayan Palace beach. Go out in front of the lifeguard stand about 5 feet deep. Just hold the banana in the water don’t open it. Be patient Turtles can see them and will come. Feed the turtles full banana. They will take bites don’t get bit. They are very gentle and friendly. We took the full face snorkel masks and I bought Walmart water shoes. They do sell masks and shoes there too. FISH To feed fish cut up banana and grapes. Put in a to go coffee cup. Give small pieces of grapes and chunks of bananas. So many fish in the shallow. I just did the palace beach but I’m sure by yours too. The pier also has hundreds of fish. And people were snorkeling there too. GO CARTS Go carts $15usd. Credit only 14 & over can drive Under 14 yo can go with adult on a two seater for $20usd. Kent and Aliyah loved it. Wear socks A LA CARTS Book 1 a la carte reservation per day. A LA CARTES IBrassiere is at the palace it’s the best. Rodizio good palace Caribe not so good palace Troterrie is really good tropical Kids menu—the chicken noodle soup I loved my daughter didn’t UBel & Roger were amazing brassiere FLORIDER 10+ to do surfing. Under 10 boogie board. Make reservations for private lessons. Have certain times for non lessons. DOLPHINS can swim with them starting at $89usd. Can’t wear rings and they have no lockers No beach vendors which was nice. One of the nicest beaches I’ve seen on vacation. Bring floaties if you can. I bought some from dollarama ans gave to a kid when we left there. Bring enough Sunscreen cause it’s $40USD Get lots of pesos the exchange is horrible is you pay with credit card then exchange to usd then Canadian.

My wife and I spent 6 days at the Barceló Maya Palace. Our stay was amazing and we love the place. We have stayed in other hotels in the complex before and it was our first time at the Barcelo Maya Palace. The service, accommodations, facilities and the staff service were really amazing. The beach and swimming pools were really good, with entertaining for both adults and kids. Room was really spacious, very clean and very well maintained. Making the reservations for a la carte restaurants was easy after our initial check-in. The restaurants were really good. Dining a la carte restaurants was really amazing. The Brasserie and Caribeño had an excellent menu and options. The food quality and the presentation were outstanding. Especial mention to the staff: Erika and Feliciano (at the Brasserie) and Dinora and Alejandro (at Caribeño). They made our dining experience very special by providing their recommendations and describing the menu options. They were really friendly and professional. The ambiance of the two restaurants was cozy and nice, set up to have a good dinner. The buffet restaurants (Hacienda, Mirador and Coral Grill) were also very good with plenty of options and good quality for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service was again amazing and the staff was friendly. The manager of the Hacienda and Mirador was always checking on the guests listening to our feedback in a very friendly and attentive way. Even during the busy weekend (Gritos de Dolores celebration), they went out of their way to accommodate and facilitate breakfast and lunch. Special mention to Eric in the Coral Grill for being friendly and providing a very good service. Night shows were good and entertaining. Il Divo and Tropicalisimo shows were good entertaining. Especial mention to the Fiesta Mexicana for the celebration of the Grito de Dolores. It was a very happy celebration with music, entertainment and special way of wrapping up our fantastic vacation. The staff service and friendliness are just amazing. If there was an aspect to improve is the check in process. The staff at the reception were friendly and wanted to make sure that rooms were ready before finishing the check-in. However, the process is lengthy. Check in is two steps, initial check-in to assign the room number and then activating the bracelet after 3 pm. We think management might be able to speed and facilitate the process to make it easy and fast.

Was charged unexpectedly for no reason for about 800 dollars. When I phone the front desk I just get put on hold for hours and when I emailed no one responded. Not sure what to do. Our booking specialist that made our reservations was also extremely difficult to contact and actually made staying here more difficult than if we didn’t use him. Other than that we had a good time.

The service here has been spectacular, the waiters concierge, especially the bartenders at the bar are very kind, respectful, totally attentive to our needs, and the staff has been going above and beyond. I would like to give a special thank you to Daniel Osorno, Gerardo Cantu, Lydia Ramirez, Maria Perez, Herlinda Lopez, Maira Poot for Porfirio Pablo, Didier Hau "Bar Carey" We definitely recommend this place and would come back again.???????????????????????

Everything was great except for the temperature set in the lobby bars. I don't know who sets the temp, but on the rooms most people set to 19C. The lobby bars are set to to 25C. They should be set to 20C minimum. I don't know why they want you to sweat while drinking from the bar. All bars were this way across all 6 resorts. The temp should reflect what the customers want and not what the bosses want. Please address and fix this issue be for we come back next month.
