Food was good. Best at a la cart restaurants. Adult pool was way too loud the week we were there and there was smoking at the pool.

First the excellent....The customer service was superb! People were uniformly welcoming, helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Beatriz Dzib who provided great service at the main pool! She was warm, p...rofessional and always delivered what we requested in a timely fashion and always with a smile. Even taught us some Spanish ;-) Now, the really good...the food at the French Restaurant was worth the small "hassle" of a needed reservation. The five course meal was delicious and a welcome break from the buffets.It was included in the price so the only extra cost would be bottles of more expensive wine if you so choose. House wine included. At the buffets, there was always an omelet station for breakfast, a carving station at lunch and a taco station and carving station at dinner along with a fresh made pasta station. Deserts ranged from excellent to meh. The drinks were all on point and unlike others have said, they did not short you one bit on the alcohol. Drink tropical drinks or go home lol. Switching to the room, while the furniture was a bit dated, it was all there and more than needed. The tv and associated channels worked as it should. No problem at all with a highly consistent Wifi signal in the rooms, restaurants and even the pool and beach. Nice little balcony to sit on in the evening. The air conditioning was great and the shower and bath clean and consistent with hot water. Water bottles and drinks stocked daily in the room along with some snacks. The small but decently equipped fitness center had everything we needed to get a consistent 1 hour workout in on the daily. For us, traveling with a ten year old, it was a perfect low key vacation with lots of pool/beach time and relaxing in the sun. FWIW, we always found at least two loungers if not three no matter when we hit the pool. Shaded ones not so much but we didn't get up before 9 am any day so there was that. The beach ALWAYS has shaded loungers.

Love this resort. Great service. Friendly staff. Great value. Plenty of lounge chairs available throughout the entire resort.

We were in Bar cocos being primarily served by Mayra Poot and she was so so sweet! Incredibly attentive, kind, respectful, and really made the experience 10x better! Atmosphere was lovely and the drinks we...re too. She also kept it very clean, picking up trash any chance she could!
