Hyatt Ziva was the second stop during our recent Punta Cana trip. From arrival and the first hour there we were so glad to have booked there. Overall a great time and experience for us. We can’t wait to co...me back! We loved that we weren’t approached by sales people like at other resorts at all during our stay. The grounds were well kept. The place is beautiful. The level of service is great! Our butler Martin was attentive from the moment we met until the very end! He kindly gifted us a sweet treat on day 2 that we could all enjoy including our toddler and brought floaties for him. The food was mostly great! We ate at Mercado for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner we had teppinkyaki at Tempest, chicken parm and beef ribs (so goood) at Noodle & Thread, fish of the day (so goooood too) at Navigator Grill and the shrimp stew. Breakfast at Chinola. And special mention of the pool side BBQ. A few off of the apps we ordered at Navigator Grill during a lunch seemed off; the fish was stale and cold on the tostada and while we ordered the calamari we were served shrimp. The main courses - the Boca Chica and the skirt steak were fantastic. We didn’t raise it to them so that’s on us. The coffee at the cafe was great! Room service too. We loved the daily movie night for our 2.5 year old. The water park was great! The sports bar was a hit for my sports loving husband who made sure to catch each Knicks game while we were there. I don’t know what capacity they were at but it never felt crowded and there were plenty of seating options to just hang out throughout the lobby and near the restaurants. Jorge S. and Santa at the pool were lovely and attentive. Juan Carlos at the pool bar was great and patient with our 2.5 year old who kept asking for strawberry smoothies and dropping his straw in the pool ??

We spent a week at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana for a wedding. The resort is wonderful. It was clean, the food was amazing, and above all, we thought that the staff made our experience even better. From our fir...st breakfast at the Mercado where we met Mariela (who remembered us all week and greeted us by name), to the bartenders and servers at Cocoonz (Deiby, Luis, Erika, Arelis and Anyeli who are so kind and attentive), we feel that the staff is what really sets this resort apart from others. They are so personable and made us feel welcome every day. Shout out to Deiby who was a great pleasure to talk to and was able to make the perfect “strong and sour” margarita for our picky friend. We stayed in a Club Level room with pool access right off the patio. This gave us access to the Club pool and bar and premium alcohol which we felt was worth it. At check-in they take you to the Club Lounge, and provide cocktails and snacks. You have access to this daily, as well as the Club concierge services. The restaurants are very good. Our favorite was the Mongolian grill at the Tempest.
